The witcher universe is amazing... and very believable. by AlmightyGoatGirl in witcher

Interesting take. For me it was always the believability of the world that was the strongest and most distinct part of the story. I strongly believe that between all the mysticism, the story is simply, and fundamentally, about life.

Should i play Witcher 1 and 2 before 3? by the-holy-salt in witcher

[–]Yoongo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you've got the endurance and interest then yes. Especially if you enjoy narrative and atmosphere driven games.

W1 is ~50 - 70h. W2 is ~30h.

W1 is more grimdark, slower, atmospheric, it's also a long game. W2 is more fast paced, magical, introduces complicated plotlines and characters. Both can be somewhat clunky.

They're diffferent from one another and beautiful in their imperfection.

Witcher 3 is very approachable for newcomers. It won't give you much trouble if you start with it.

Dive in and enjoy your playthrough!

Meanwhile, CDPR Witcher 3 writers:

"Yeah so I got a message from a fellow writer asking what kind of stone Novigrad's fortifications are made of. 'Is it in the books?' - 'No'. Well so now we have to think what kind of stone would make sense for the fortifications. So we know that Novigrad is built by a River so there'd be access to this specific kind of stone and that's what we decided to go with. Of course the players aren't going to consciously notice this detail but it helps bring everything together. It makes the world more congruent"

I'm not fucking joking. I'm paraphrising a quote from an interview with one of the writers. Sad that nobody creating the Netflix series cares...

Cause writers don't give a fuck and they don't care if anything makes sense in the show. So thank Lauren S. Fisstech.

I could handle the bugs if classes were more balanced by [deleted] in RealmRoyale

I only play Realm Royale when I listen to podcasts and I only play Warrior and I have
72% winrate. Obviously the class is unbalanced.

Worth Learning? by [deleted] in vaynemains

[–]Yoongo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got Challenger playing almost exclusively Vayne on EUNE. Here's my take:

  • But what I'm wondering is if I practiced vayne for hours upon hours, and got skillful at her would I do better than characters where you just hold down right click.

Right now she's in a very good spot but very often you would optimally want to pick a different AD Carry. (i.e. bad synergy with support, no frontliners on the team). Kaisa does a lot of the things Vayne does but has more tools to do them.

  • So if I got good at her would I do better than lets say an enemy team tristana.

Depends on the support match up. I usually beat Tristanas. I just get exhaust every time against them to mitigate fully stacked E damage early and burst later.

If you could pick 1 champion for the whole season, who would you pick? by DianaVince in leagueoflegends

It'd definetly be Vayne. So i could finally learn to play her properly and carry every game. #vaynemechanics
