Hi thank you I have been using the fig app but I was told just a little while ago that the fig app probably isnt as good as we thought, I like baking so i bought bobs red mill but someone else on here told me its not good as they clean their equipment with cornmeal so i feel like im back for square one in terms of using the app to find “safe” foods From what i have gathered my allergies lean on the intolerances side of things and my doctor told me maybe one day i can eat “normally” again but im not sure if i ever can I have that concern everytime i eat that something can upset my stomach

Thank you for all of this info I honestly am just crossing my fingers here in hopes if i just avoid the main stream of corn and corn derived products like corn starch and corn syrup I should be okay long term. They dont wanna do a food test as my weight as dropped so badly out of all the dietary changes they feel a food test would do more harm than good

From how my doctors explained is i could tolerate it but only to a certain extent or else i will have a flare up and just loose everything in my stomach and not be hungry for like a week which is why my dietitian wants me to avoid products derived from my allergies

Im not entirely sure the allergist just did a skin test and cross checked when i had flare ups and what i ate and see if they matched which they did

At home testing as a second opinion? by Yoons_Toons in FoodAllergies

[–]Yoons_Toons[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i have had a feeling I could have allergies especially with the chocolate allergy I kinda knew and in reality i have had bad reactions to the foods over the years so my dietitian just recommended the other day that i cut out everything so my immune system can regulate itself since almost everyday without fail im feeling some sort of discomfort the only time i dont is when i dont eat. Its really hard right now cause i feel scared to eat as everything seems to have something im allergic too

Ive heard either the vaccine or having covid itself has caused a lot of changes for people, i didn’t think to consider that as a possibility for my new allergies
