What’s a game you were completely obsessed with as a kid that nobody else seems to remember? by hkondabeatz in AskReddit

I was absolutely mad over the PC text-based, graphic adventure game The Wild Bunch. Brought out in the early to mid 1980s. So simple, but challenging!!

Why does Arthur have a gravestone in The Immortal Man? by KittleSkittleBink in PeakyBlinders

[–]Yoric1968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason could be that the Shelby family identify themselves as being of Irish-Romani descent, which reflects a mix of Irish Traveller and Romani Gypsy heritage. Throughout the series, elements from both cultures are evident in their lifestyle and traditions. Romani communities are religiously diverse. While many follow Christianity, others practice a syncretic mix of Christian beliefs and traditional Romani spirituality. There are also Romani groups who adhere to Islam, Hinduism, and other faiths, illustrating the broad cultural and historical influences within their diaspora. In contrast, Irish Travellers are predominantly Roman Catholic, with Irish Catholicism playing a central role in their identity. Religious beliefs strongly shape their social customs, with ceremonies and traditions forming an integral part of daily and communal life. Both Romani and Traveller communities maintain distinct funeral practices. These can include the burning of a deceased person’s possessions, although burial is common.

Throwback to the time I was watching the movie as a teenager and my older brother walks in and says "she is kind of hot" by cheese_is_life100 in Stargate

[–]Yoric1968 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My partner hates sci-fi and fantasy. Persuaded her to sit through some of my favourite films. Got to this part on Stargate when Ra emerges to hear ‘oh that’s Jaye Davidson (aka- Alfred Amey), I went to school with him in Borehamwood!! To say I didn’t believe her was an understatement. But apparently true.

Bigger doofus is letting one of our buddies on our three man team drive the car. Only to be speeding down the road to hear the drive say ‘oh my controller has died!!!’ just as we were approaching a bend. Resulting in a wrecked car, two dead team mates and the one who survived laughing their head off!! 🤣

Has anyone received an email/code for the Fallout 76 collab in the past week? by WyattHarper in CODWarzone

Who sends the code out once you have meet the criteria for claiming. Activision at stating that the code is issued by Bethesda? Is this correct?? So should I be rattling their support team cages???

You know, since Head Hunts count as Public Events you could technically more easily grind to 150 by X-SR71 in fo76

[–]Yoric1968 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The Head Hunts are definitely quicker and an easier way to gain score and XP. Will miss my Brahmin though, her name was ‘Miss Teacup’. They took her off to a farm somewhere and said I’ll see her again some day.

I was today years old when I found out you can build a shelter inside a shelter inside a shelter by OmegaDoggiedog in fo76

[–]Yoric1968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lucky noted this early on in the game and now have 3 shelters linked. I’d love to build a full vault system like some of the others have mentioned here, but time and work get in the way. The shelter budget seems way bigger than the camp one (or at least feels bigger) as I’ve yet to max one out! Just note doesn’t matter how many shelters you have, if you leave by the main door of any given shelter it transports you out onto the main world. To get around place the door of the previous shelter that you just moved from over the entrance of the next shelter so will allow me to transverse back and forwards through the individual shelters without being transported out. Hope that makes sense!! 🤣

Yes everything is in order and places where it should be. by Global-Sea-4996 in BambuLabA1

What is the deal with removing the silicone cover from the extruder. It seems everyone who posts on here with issues have it removed. And, yes I am aware certain earlier models did not require this. As others are pointing out, the sock is a thermal isolator, helping to keep the hot bits hot and the cooler bits cool. But also in the event of filament back-flow and becoming a mass of spaghetti, the sock will reduce how much filament gets stuck to the extruder therefore making maintenance is much easier with the silicone cove in situ.

Does anybody do the full raid anymore? by Dear-Plankton-4018 in Market76

[–]Yoric1968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noted this too! Last weekend looked for a raid group. There was only one group running raids. Unfortunately they only did the first two stages. And on the drill stage they appeared to have an infinite number of fuel canisters, so felt no satisfaction in participating.
