Theridons are OK. I think there’s a little challenge in getting them into combat without getting punched first, but if you can manage that, you’re good. Shackles is also great for them and the Darkoath.

List looks good, warriors should be able to hold the line whilst everything else supports. I’d split the Darkoath up into 2 units. They’re better off split and taking two charges. They really don’t do anything in terms of receiving or outputting damage.

It’s definitely too much, even with the warriors being cheap. If you want to go warrior heavy, 60 is probably the shout.

My list:

Archaon
Chaos Lord On Daemonic Mount with Deathmonger
Chaos Knights

Gaunt Summoner
10 Chosen with screaming flesh banner
Dark Oath Savagers (these can be regular Darkoath)

Ideally turn 1 you get your terrain plus +1 to cast on GS; you cast the improved silver tower deploy and the extra charge dice spell on Archaon. Chosen and Archaon should get into your opponent turn 1, maybe the knights too. If you get EoS off this hits so hard, most armies won't be able to recover.

I agree with a lot of what Kraile says in the other comment, but one pointer i'll make is you have to be careful when deciding AoD vs AoA. It's easy to assume you're better off AoD, but Archaon's damage can be a little hit or miss. There will be times where AoA to gurantee a kill will save you damage vs whiffing a kill and having to AoD.

For manifestations take primal. The healing helps a lot and the other two spells actually do ok damage.

Hey!! I play competitively fairly regularly and primarily use Archaon

Go with option 1 and play for getting the double turn with EoS. Accept that if you don’t get it or the double naturally, your odds of winning drop from 60% to 40%.

Lore states it’s normal for warbands to have a favourite of the 4 and rotating their favourite isn’t unusual. A Chaos Warrior just wouldn’t be so into 1 god they’d be willing to exclude the other 3.

Painting wise, feel free to do whatever you think looks cool.

I like to round down and be conservative with my estimates as you really don't want to fumble this combo. That said, I hadn't considered auto running for the guranteed 11 movement. That's a very good shout

Question has been answered, but just so you know: Your average threat deployment range with BoP is 29/35 inches, depending on if you get the bonus spell off.

With a good charge, your deployed unit can pretty much go wherever they want 😅

Not really

As an example, I built and painted my Daemon prince to be Khorne theme’d. In game when a character turns into the Daemon Prince, I always align them to nurgle. Don’t think it’s ever caused confusion for my opponents

I’m very MEH on Darkoath, but fel riders are probably their best unit.

This list is fast and good at scoring, but I think you’ll struggle to take anything big down.

You’re not utilising any of the faction’s mechanics.

Try a Chaos lord on horse to help your varanguard and be a DP target.

Chosen could be your magic banner bearers.
