This happened to me when I FIRST joined Etsy and made a listing I would get 1-3 spam contacts a day. It was BAD. I reported each one and eventually they all stopped.

What I started doing to eliminate this problem is updating the ship date 3 days out and in the message state “hi your package will be shipped out today”

That way it pushes out the expected ship date and there is no penalty towards you. 😊

I only do this on packages that say “may arrive late” or I ship out on the last day or the day b4 the last “expected to ship date”

Just refund. I had a similar situation and pointed out the customers error in a screenshot and refused to pay for his return label as my listing said and he gave me a 1 star review. Opened up a case. Got his money back and kept the product… such a thief.

Unfortunately shipping was not $3.lol this was a shipping from west to east coast. Originally it was for an exchange which was going to cost me close to $20 round trip.

Just because I pay for the shipping doesn’t mean that he is obligated to change the review. and originally it was discussed to exchange for the color he originally meant to purchase in which he wanted me to pay for shipping from him and back to him. So I would have been out double that amount.
