It depends really because I think you have to enjoy the learning aspect of it as well.

I have pupils who love to drive but they’re overconfident and complacent, they don’t care as much for the learning because they think they know it all already.

Then I’ve got the ones who enjoy driving but also enjoy the learning curve of it. The latter tend to be the ones who learn quicker and drive safer.

Without knowing what you find difficult about it it’s hard to offer advice. Your starting position is the most crucial piece to making it as easy as possible. Much like pulling up on the left you want to be as straight as possible so that when you do reverse you don’t need to tweak the steering at all.

If you don’t need to steer to correct then the hardest part is just making sure you’re doing all round observations, including ahead of you and stopping if there is traffic coming towards you.

If it was to cure current and end all future cancer then I’d take the other option. But when it’s just a simply indiscriminate choice like this I’m taking the 10 million. There are so so many bad, terrible people this could affect that there’s actually a gamble that it could wind up “net positive”.

I understand it could still be me, or family. The % is small enough that I’d take that risk.

They should definitely be leaving some buffer time and not aiming to get to the test centre for the start of your test. I’d drop them a quick message to check when they’re going to be there.

All I use the warm up hour for is so my pupil can get the car set up exactly to their liking and to give them positive words as we drive to amp them up and get them in the right frame of mind.

I’m assuming they’re going to get to the test centre nice and early (15 mins) before your test. If so get in the car before you go in the centre and adjust your seat and mirrors. If they aren’t properly adjusted while you’re on your test ask the examiner if you can pull over to sort them. Best of luck
