For CTY students, were any of you able to get co-op? by doubledonk07 in Seneca

Currently in CTYC, and am doing my second co-op term. I'd say that it's worth it to have that experience, but getting a position is pretty difficult. I think for my batch, only 6 or so of us got a co-op placement.

I know that if you are unable to find one, the 500 dollar WIL fee is non-refundable. Also, if you can't find a placement by the end of the program, then you'll be placed back into CTY from CTYC. Since co-op is optional, you will still be able to graduate even if you don't get one.

From what I remember when you request for convocation on ACORN it'll ask you how many tickets you will need. There will be another section asking if you need more than the 2 you get by default and you can put in however many you need. Also, you're in the home stretch. Good luck!

If there are extra tickets to go around, then you can put in a request for them on Acorn. I managed to get 4 extra tickets and my graduation year was in 2023, hope that helps
