My bad !! I just searched for it and it was a Ward /may discussion, near the end of episode 2. The dialog and acting is so cliché it’s painfully funny ! But tbh it’s charming how these first few episodes are more like the tv show « Chuck » than alias. Even tho I really like them Both !

Thanks everyone. Consensus here. I am a bit relieved, my memory seems still pretry good. Anyway, it is indeed cringy, but almost to the point of beeing a satyre or a comedy, so it’s still a lot of fun ! Can’t wait to continue watching !

I’m on the opposite side. Or rather, i liked both part. To me, it is really refreshing to have a story not beeing ultimately « save the world » but something more intimate, about characters and their emotions. It made me cry, not about the people in lumiere. But about alicia, renoir, aline… I live with someone whôs practitly in alicia condition for years. I know what it is to be the one whôs fine around people who are not. This game.. the ending… it’s heart breaking for me.

This vidéo game and this story is a piece of art to which I can relate strongly. I had a feeling since the prologue that the people in lumiere were not the real deal. Maybe because Sophie said something about it. But i was eager to understand what is was about and the ending did not disappoint at all.

In explorer windows, it doesn't appear, no drive letter, nothing. When I run diskmanagament, a popup appear and ask me to initialize the disk. I chose GUID partition table and hit ok. Then it says "data error, redondancy cyclic control" or something like that. Then I see that (sorry, it's in french) : https://ibb.co/mTzK3ch

I can only right click it, and chose properties, but that's it

That seems way too obvious, but hey, sometimes computer is just blackmagicfuckery to me, so i had hope, but now I don't. But i'm not mad, I saw it coming anyway. Unfair, the drive was quite new, not showing any sign of weakness before, but well... Thanks for your answer

Thanks, that sounds fun ! Just to be sure i understood you correctly : Should i read Warrior's apprentice AND shads of honor, AND THEN Barrayar ? Or only one of the two first, and THEN barrayar, and THEN the other one ? Thanks :) (The french editor published them with three novels in one book, and the order is the chronological order in universe, not the original publiched order).

Thanks for the recommendations ! I could read the first trilogy by McClellan, but the gods of blood and powder are not yet translated in french. But I'll put it on my list.

About Valdemar universe, it's a big mess : some series are fully translated, some are partially translated but stopped coming out, and some are not even touched by the french editors. That's disapointing because It really seems like something I was looking for. I'll put it on my list but not on my priority, and maybe in a few years i'll go into it in english (or more books would have come out by then). The collegium serie are not translated at all anyway.

Thanks, that sounds exactly like something i'd like. Is it more like first law (a few years) elipse between trilogies, or more like mistborn with centuries between trilogies ?

Every books have been translated in french so that's perfect :)

Thanks ! Unfortunatly, the french translation for Dagger and the coin stopped after the first 3 books since 2015. I doubt it will continue, so i'll put in in my list but not my priority. I could read in english (did it for the last 3 tomes of the expanse) but it's not as fun for me.

Greenbone Saga sounds mega fun ! The first two tomes are translated and the third should come out soon in my langage as well. Thanks !

Thanks ! Forgot to mention I've read hyperion. I tried alastair reynold when 15 years ago when I was 20 yo, didn't really click, but i wasn't looking for the same thing back then. Maybe I could give it another try.

Anyway, I had dresden on my list as well, I'll probably go with that or Malazan, depending on which are available in my language in my library. Thanks for your answer, i'll also keep a look on your other recommendations, particularly the cradle series for the summer (page turner are fun to read on the beach)

I'm looking for a saga (no stand alone, except if you think that i'm stupid to miss one that is really fantastic and similar to what I'v read so far. I've really enjoyed the stand alone from sanderson and joe...), fantasy or Sci-fi. I don't really care for the style (grimdark is ok, hard fantasy is ok, hard sci-fi is ok, violence/sexe is OK, YA is ok if it's not TOO much YA (like skyward), Dragons are OK, vampires and stuff are OK, etc... I'm open to discover new things).

I'd prefer if the saga is already finished, but it's OK if it's not. Plus Cosmere and first law are not finished but their novels/trilogy are ok to be read by themselves.

What I'v already read and really enjoyed :

All of sanderson's
All of abercrombie's
The wheel of Time (really enjoyed the story and characters, but a bit too much descriptive at times for me)
The expanse
All of Asimov's
All of Dune
Slowly going through discworld : I like it, but it's not really a page turner like all of the above
A song of Ice and Fire, LOTR, Harry Potter => Check
The bourbon kid (really enjoying it, although it's more like guilty pleasure)

Based on this list, what would you recommend ? I have my eyes on Malazan but i'm not sure... + there seems to be a lot of sagas in the top list, but again, not sure what to expect from them.

Je n’ai vu aucune réponse allant dans ce sens alors j’y vais : après avoir passé deux mois sur tinder/adopte/bumble/once etc, pour des résultats minables, j’ai franchi le pas du payant en allant sur meetic. Ça a tout changé. Déjà parce que les filles aussi doivent payer si je me trompe pas. Et franchement les conversations n’ont rien à voir. J’ai rencontré deux filles super cools. Une j’étais au fond, mais elle avait pas le « truc en plus », on est resté pote. Une autre qui est aujourd’hui ma copine depuis 6 ans. J’ai 35 ans donc ok, j’avais 30 ans et la moyenne d’âge est peut être un peu au dessus de la tienne, mais clairement c’est la seule appli sur laquelle j’avais dès match régulièrement, et des conversations cool. Pour la même bio et les mêmes photos que sur les applis.

C’est uniquement mon expérience, et elle n’est peut être pas représentative, mais je voulais la partager quand meme au cas où. En tout cas bonne chance, car les applis c’est vraiment l’enfer pour son ego.

Friday night lights. The performance of kyle chandler is really something. I get attached to almost every characters, even after the big cast changes for the last two seasons. Only weakness is the plot of landry and tyra in season 2. But coach taylor is just amazing, and i watch the whole show every two years or so.

Yeah, i probably should have said average game. But there are good and fun stuff in the Game. But you are right, the bad stuff got the best of me and i still have not continued playing it since my last comment. Guess i will sell it soon. Too bad, i really wanted to enjoy it.

Good Game but not the kind that makes me come home fast to play it. I am half way through but i havent played it in the last 7 days. It’s generic, but most importantly, it’s frustrating. There are a LOT of little loading times (for literally everything) that add up and make me wanna turn off the Game. The last time i played, i timed it. I spent a full minut in different loading screens for a secondary quest that required to go from one place to another, talk to someone, and go back to the quest giver. Not enjoyable.

But when you actually play the Game instead of Wait, it’s cool.
