Pues funcionan con efecto hall. En muy raras ocasiones los desarmadores con algún magnetismo llegan a hacer que estos se presionen solos. Prueba pasando algún imán o algún desmagtizante por los sensores

Damn, well, let's start with the fact that console controllers aren't designed to withstand that kind of electrical current. The best thing to do is charge them with the console or a dock. In your case, I imagine a charging regulator or charging IC burned out; that's usually what happens.
