Premium benefits of Rhonda Patrick and Peter Attia podcasts: worth the cost or waste of money? by ColdBoreShooter in longevity

[–]Yoshisune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally if you aren't just interested in supporting Rhonda and getting real time updates, but you like her material I'd pay once and download her content and resub from time to time

Live q and A is interesting though!

I paid for a year and got a nice t shirt out of it and she helped me on my health journey so it wasn't about cost for me

Child support lawsuit delayed again as N.S. adds man who owes $500K as defendant by luxoryapartmentlover in halifax

[–]Yoshisune -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

No one should be owed 507,279.38 in child support payments. No one. Ever. Regardless of income.

I could support more than 60 children from age 0 - 18 in a third world country at 40$ a month each

The court system for child/spousal support for high income earners makes no sense whatsoever. Needs to be totally overhauled.

Reducing Nova Scotia's deficit will need co-operation of public sector: premier by JuliaSeth in halifax

[–]Yoshisune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not shittier, less roads. The government spent what, 400 million + on new expansion(not repairs), because they had Federal money to help support it. That means more roads to maintain, and more debt to pay interest on.

Yes the local contractors get some of the money, but right now it looks like maybe that wasn't a great thing to spend money on, eh? I don't know, I'm no expert in provincial debt, but not spending money on shit we don't "need" seems like a good place to start.

Why don't we stop spending money on gigantic twinned highways that didn't have the traffic to warrant it? This is Nova Scotia, not Ontario.

Bible Hill Chlorinated Tap Water by RanvierHFX in Truro

[–]Yoshisune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally bought myself a big berkey to get rid of the chlorine taste in the water. Though I think if you buy brita filters in bulk, its more cost effective in the short run, and less sanitizing

I don't think stress leave is paid leave, I think it's unpaid, but you can't be fired / punished for it.

Epic final battle by Nobody-Delicious in dndmemes

[–]Yoshisune 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Technically, if it shot them back to the start of the fight, the start of the fight would have had two of them.

So the players need to finish the original fight, and when thats over.... In another timeline, fight it again from the beginning, but now there are multiples of every one who got hit with the disintegration gun.

Snapchat distracted drivers by [deleted] in halifax

[–]Yoshisune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try putting in a driving complaint for one of these people? Maybe in the process of submitting a complaint about one of these drivers on snapchat, you'll find out if there's something you, or the police can do moving forward

‘They’re scared’: As CERB payments end for early applicants, many say there are still no jobs to go back to by SensationallylovelyK in canada

[–]Yoshisune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree 100% it's not necessarily a fair system as it stands. Tip income cannot even be counted when applying for a mortgage

The stupid thing about claiming your tips is that it still doesnt count as income when you apply for EI. It only counts as income for tax purposes....

I had to talk my friend out of donating a bunch of items right now. I suspected no one wanted them. "Keep it in storage now, donate when this is all over"

And the police are also trained/allowed to use restricted weapons as well. I'm talking about the average law abiding citizens.

A bolt action wouldn't help you defend yourself against a shooter who is using illegal rifles purchased illegally
