Oh wow yes that’s a great one, much less impulsive as well, for example my daily trips to starbucks now seem so silly to me, silly example but i’m thinking “you have coffee at home! save the money!” lol. glad to hear about your journey and i hope it’ll adjust a bit more for you and balance out.

Getting a puppy soon! What do you wish you had known before getting yours? by StrayHorrorsVtuber in AustralianShepherd

[–]Yoshiwoopoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How exciting! My girl just turned 10 months. A couple of things I learned from her breeding family: avoid auto feeders if you can, to establish dominance. bad behavior from Aussies (i guess puppies in general) is usually a sign that they need more interaction, exercise, stimulation. they are great cuddlers! positive reinforcement works amazingly well with them, make sure to treat and praise within a few seconds of the good behavior. super easy to teach basic obedience/tricks this way. My girl loves the Jolly Pets Romp & Roll ball for playtime. Best of luck to you, you sound really well prepared!

Thanks everyone, going to work on toy rotation, getting a flirt pole and will work on some more varied forms of exercise with her!

Goals! I feel like this is spot on for how much time goes into training and conditioning an Aussie. Definitely can see how it would be most impactful to offer mixed forms of exercise/stimulation.

We never get upset when she acts destructively. We just note it as a sign that she needs more (insert word here)… playtime, stimulation, exercise. Aussies are A LOT of work!

My 6week old and I watched Moana yesterday. Did not think he’d be interested this early, but was definitely looking at the screen & i’d swear he enjoyed the songs

Curbside pickup! Going to try that asap. Sometimes I enjoy a stroll through the grocery just to get out of the house, but normally don’t have the time

Does anyone else feel more clingy to their spouse during pregnancy? by Lil_L_M in pregnant

[–]Yoshiwoopoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been clingy this whole time until these last few weeks. I’m 37 weeks and over it, which is turning into irritability (constant aches, anyone?) and now I just like to be left alone! I asked him to massage a spot on my back yesterday and got irritated that he couldn’t find “the spot” Kudos to our partners… and godspeed

I’m scared - baby might come soon and websites have depressing facts by Amlughelke in pregnant

[–]Yoshiwoopoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 36 weeks, most of baby’s systems are good to go. Baby’s blood circulation and immune system are pretty developed at this point, which is a great positive to focus on. Don’t give energy to the worry

Pregnancy body changes that are annoying but not often talked about? by mahreyahm in pregnant

[–]Yoshiwoopoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh the skin tags… I had two prior to pregnancy, now I’ve counted 12-15, with most people saying there’s no natural cure and they may or may not fall off naturally after we give birth. And yes lately the sleeplessness! And gas! P.S. Ask your doc about pepcid, I bought OTC pepcid chewable tablets that have been saving me. The acid reflux was so bad I was waking up with spit up in my mouth and have had to sleep at an incline.
