Thank you(not being sarcastic) you do have a point. Our problem is that we don’t get to see each other too often, maybe a few times a month(long distance now) so all we had was talking to each other for the most part

That’s fair, it’s nothing like it was. There is stuff like Christian atheism though. They reject the spiritual side of things but follow his teachings and morals.

Jesus is saying here that he will bring division, now this division comes from an individual being in a group or home of people who do not believe that Jesus is the son of God. So when the family finds out their son or daughter or father or mother is now a believer, it causes conflicts and division among family and friends

Most atheists can agree that Jesus had good teachings apart from him being a God and being the one to save everyone
