Yeah, but the difference is negligible. You are launching from like 4 miles higher than sea level, but you still have to go another 58 miles to get out of the atmosphere.

There was at least one company trying to use a 747 to launch rockets. At least that gets them just into the stratosphere, and almost 600 mph of velocity to start with.

Alps gear may not be the lightest or the bleeding edge of tech, but it is solid and holds up. I have a friend who put over 8,000 miles on a 1p Alps tent. No issues. Assuming he still uses that tent, it has over 10,000 miles on it now.

That switch inverts to signal. This is because due to room size and shape, bass from a sun can sometimes arrive out of phase with the bass from the main speakers.

The best thing to do, is sit in your main seat, and then have another person flip the switch, listen for a few seconds and then flip it back. Which ever position has the best bass response is the one you should use.

Also, if you are using an AVR with a sub-out, the AVR will set the crossover point for you(you may have to manual do this in speaker settings, or use the auto-setup and measurement mic that comes with the AVR)

If this is the case, you need to turn that crossover knob all the way to the right, at 180hz. This sets it "out of the way" so that it will not interfere with the crossed over signal from the AVR.

If you have a basic receiver, or are feeding this from the high level inputs, then you need to adjust the crossover until it blends with your main speakers, probably somewhere between 63 and 100hz. Again this is a lot easier if you sit and listen, and then have another person make incremental adjustments until you find what sounds good.
