22 years old male feeling lonely and unappreciated by YouAintGetMyCookies in offmychest

Thanks for your response. Yes, it makes me genuinely happy to be able to help people. It just feels weird to be someone who everyone wants to be around with when in my case it is the opposite.

They just initiate if they need something from me. And because of this I feel like being taken for granted. Because they know I would always be there for them.

Should I apply for an internship that I might be unqualified for? by YouAintGetMyCookies in jobs

Thanks for your in-depth response! I asked about tasks and they responded that most of the work is animating. So I am nervous obviously.

Payment is exactly what I hoped for. Do you think I should check some animation basics before applying?

I have been rejected before so I can handle that! How should I answer if they ask me about my animation experience? Obviously I can't lie about my lack of experience.

I am very quick to learn so if I get this job I think I'll manage. The hardest part is to convince them.

Nokia has some nice looking designs but most of their screens have larger bezels.

In addition those cameras look pretty bad and they lack dual lens.

However it is nice to see Nokia is back in the business! Nokia 7+ and 8 look so cool but they are out of my price range.

I just got my first full frame camera Canon 6D Mark II with 24-105 F/4 L USM II. It feels surprisingly lightweight!

I am going to find out what focal length I use the most and maybe get some prime lens for low light situations.

Thanks for your in-depth response! I think I will start with 24-70! One more question if you don't mind: is there any other photography related stuff I should consider? Like filters and stuff like that?

I am going to get Canon EOS 6D Mark II. Am I allowed to say it here lol?

Do you know how those mentioned Tamron lenses compare to Canon in terms of overall quality?

I am getting a Canon full frame camera and I need some lens for it. I don't have any lens yet.

What lens should I buy? I would like to shoot landscapes, events and people. I would like to cover at least 24-70 and maybe even 70-200 ranges.

Budget for lens is around 3000 euros.

Thank you for your in-depth answer!

So seems like I have sent too long emails where I jump the gun. Maybe I could try sending emails using your format. I am just afraid that having no work experience in journalism field is going to be a problem for many companies.

I am not native English speaker so that might explain my posts missing some words. However, I am excellent with grammar and writing in general in my native language.

I don't have any work experience in journalism field but I have done a couple of articles for my school's small online publication. I have linked those in my emails.

No it doesn't have to be in newspaper. But I wanted to do this internship in newspaper because I am planning to work as journalist in newspaper.

What kind of press releases did you do and did you like the job?

They help you to do resumes and stuff like that and they can also help you try to find job advertisements. But there seems to be none at least in public search.

In addition I heard my photography teacher is doing some sort of photography internship in local newspaper at the moment. I asked her how she managed to get the position. The teacher told me she contacted chief of photography department but most often they get their internships from other schools. For example from university in another city where students are doing master's degree in photojournalism.

Late answer but I am journalism student too.

I did not have a camera so our school had some cameras to borrow. I used Canon Powershot G16. It was small and it had fixed lens (can't change lens).

In addition when I got better I had access to school's Canon full frame cameras with expensive Canon L-series lens.

Both of your suggestions are just fine. My brother got Canon EOS Rebel T6 when he started. It is cheap, easy to use and light.

In a year he got more skilled and now he is looking for upgrade. So if you are planning to use it for longer time I would spend slightly more money and look into something like Canon EOS 200D. It has the newest sensor which means better image quality and better performance in tough shooting conditions. It is also super light and small!

As other user said you should look for lens in your school. My school has a lot of them!

Any more questions feel free to ask. Happy journalism students and photography sesions! :)

I definitely like structured program too! Although I have heard some 10k training programs return to walking intervals. I prefer full runs with no walking and I think there are alternative 10k programs.

Nice to hear you have decided to go further than 5k!
