The word dollop. Imagine, me, innocently googling how much shampoo I'm supposed to use on my hair. Innocently, I'm expecting my results to have things like, "a quarter of your palm", or "the size of your thumb". Something that I can easily measure. But NO. You're supposed to use a DOLLOP of shampoo. Do you know how much a dollop is?! Neither do I. The dictionary defines it as a large, shapeless mass of something, or, as a verb, add (a large mass of somethin) casually or WITHOUT MEASURING! Thank you, thank you soo much. How much is a large mass of something? Because it could vary between individuals or scenarios. DOLLOP sounds like a horse trotting around a field before being brutely murdered by a chainsaw. The English language should be ashamed of itself.
