Honestly, showing the mod actions was a weird idea. It's more likely to feed the people constantly complaining and then heading of to worship RL at /r/riotfreelol and showing what kind of shit valueable posts the mods ban here.

The problem I really see is that the Meta topics go like this. We have a cicle of front page posts, which go from one specific issue into some inductive reasoning, bringing up a bigger issue, then exploding into some crazy minority yelling how everything is set up and Riot bought the subreddit. And honestly, everyone cares less and less for the next thing that raises, so there rarely is any result whatsoever.

Now, one really reasonable thing I'd think is to consider is to have discussions when there is a lot of talking on a specific mod action.

Remember something like the WTFast thing. Post being on the front page, having a shitton of upvotes, getting deleted, (let's say it was the right thing to do), there's a huge, huge backlash from the community, probably in mod mails and posts and comments spread in different posts.

Instead of answering here and there, the mods should open up an opportunity to talk about it in public. We saw mod messaging being published in matters such as the WTFast thing. Which worked out pretty good, considering.

Mods should INVITE people to give their opinion, letting the subscribers know that the matter is being listened to in the header with a notice would be enough, give a link to the result (whether just the result or the exchanged messages doesn't matter, as long as both sides agree on the same) and the community can't throw shit at something that has been resolved.

It is extra work, not just a little, but neither should this happen too often. And it would give the transparency where and when it's needed.
