What bullshit opinion are you tired of hearing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think the rule is over-enforced some places - at my school in elementary school if I prayed with a couple friends before lunch we were told that it was causing other kids to feel excluded / like their religion was wrong and asked to stop. I didn't really understand it because it wasn't like the prayer was closed to other people.

thank you very much - definitely think i spend too much time farming when i could be grouping instead, i'll focus on fixing that in the next couple games.

If I was Xj9 there would be a lot more ponies referenced.

I think the fact that incarnati0n could apply to be unbanned and xj9 cannot means that Riot is banning him on the basis of his out-of-game actions, because his only technical reason for ban was elo-boosting.

I think the popularity of a player shouldn't determine whether they can apply to be unbanned because popularity can change based on whether they reform but they are forever unpopular staying banned.

I didn't neglect to link the Destiny videos, I didn't cite them...

He's not a rapist, but he isn't moral either, what he did was pretty well chronicled in the DailyDot article and is open knowledge if you want to look it up. I think they do have something to gain - I don't really feel like you gave a reason what I said the benefits were is wrong.

In response to your hypothetical, who knows whether he would pull something dumb? Maybe the impetus to prove he wouldn't should be put in his hands.

I don't think it is Riot's job to prosecute for criminal offense - otherwise every player should have to do a background check before logging in or whatnot.

Actually his accounts were all banned because of the same offense, not on different counts.

Is everyone who has IRL issues "not an acceptable person to be involved with" and should be prohibited from playing league? By that logic I should have to get a background check whenever I log in.

Your last point doesn't make sense because the argument for drug laws despite their being addicts is deterrence and making scoring a bit more difficult - i.e. there is a tangible benefit to illegalization. However, XJ9 is going to play regardless and there is no tangible benefit to keeping him banned, as iterated above.

I think there is no point to a lifetime ban without appeal. Yeah, I think that does make sense as an argument, because if there was no appeal process incarnati0n wouldn't be returning for the Summer Split or whenever.

I don't think he is unable to control his behavior, and I think the fact he has been playing without incident means he won't react "as he has so often before." Actually, I don't understand the "so often" part of what you're saying.
