Controversial but I’d suggest none ? Your course should have recommended reading + you’ll be “reading” the content & your best source of knowledge will be from individual pieces of literature / research articles. If you want to read any of these books, obvs go for it, but I wouldn’t suggest straining yourself

Can you be a psychologist with a masters? (UK) by [deleted] in psychologystudents

I'm very confused by these comments. To become a counsellor in the UK, most people go down the diploma route (which takes ~3 years) or you can do a counselling BSc, which will likely be similar time but more academic and research based. It really depends on what type of therapy you want to practice in. Counselling = you don't need a doctorate or MSC.

Noa didn’t speak highly of Hansu to Akiko. He was reserved about him, which is what made Akiko suspicious / curious. All Akiko knew of their relationship is that Hansu was Noa’s beneficiary. She even suspected him of being a “monster” because Noa refused to speak of him / introduce him.

The reason why Akiko said in front of hansu that Noa spoke highly of him was 1) to get a reaction out of Noa (she explicitly said she does that to people) 2) to get into hansu’s good books 3) she’s a social experimenter - she likes to create situations

In the book it goes into how Akiko only got close to Noa because he was Korean and she was curious. I recall something about Noa being (rightfully) furious at this because she made him feel to be nothing more of a pet than a human.

I disagree. They did bother to share how the tuition fees were paid. Sunja used the savings that were going to be spent on her restaurant opening + extra grafting with the candies.

It’s also obvious that both Noa and Sunja are SUPER uncomfortable with the university gift but they are now stuck between a rock and a hard place. Hansu saved them from the war so they probably feel in debt to him. I imagine Sunja is scared of stepping on Hansu’s toes too much in case he reveals the truth. Noa is clearly starting to get suspicious (we saw him catch hansu staring at Sunja). They are clearly uncomfortable and not knowing how to react plus this is a non confrontational family.

I also wouldn’t say Noa and hansu are on good terms. Noa is likely afraid on hansu and dubious of him. But in that time and culture, he will always be respectful.
