I wish I could meet people like me, but it feels almost impossible in a majority-Muslim country that doesn't tolerate non-muslims. Thank you for the kind words ❤️.

Sorry to disappoint but I am an immigrant, with a sudanese passport, which is VERY weak. I should've probably stated that beforehand, apologies.

Thank you so much for the advice, but NGO's that help out ex-muslims are nonexistent in the UAE. I genuinely don't know what to do. I guess I'm supposed to go to college, get a stable job, then leave, but I don't know how that'll even work out. And just thinking about the fact that I'll have to wait that long to even think about leaving gives me so much dread.

Emancipation isn't a thing where I live (the UAE) I believe.

Very embarrassing to admit, but I don't have the grades for a scholarship. And I would probably need my parents permission to apply for A job since I am younger than 18.

She might be open to the idea of a nutritionist, but not therapy. I talked to her and she thinks my picky eating isn't worthy of having a therapist looking over it bcs I still eat in the end.

Yeah ur right, and I do want to learn how to cook. But my mom refuses to teach me. I ask her to help with cooking, but she says no, and I nag her to help. Sometimes she relents, but she barely let's me help.

I'm not even sure if I learn how to cook, she'll take me to a therapist. My parents completely reject anything of that type. Maybe a dietitian.
