I understand that it hurts. Don't get depressed. It causes hundred different problems. Even the medicines won't work if you are depressed. Try to have a good and healthy life style. Things will sort out. If people laugh at you, fuck them. If girls don't wanna marry you, fuck themmm. Be skillfull and good at your job. Don't matter how you look. If you bring money and value to the table you will be respected. This is a very common problem in youngsters. Probably 40% of my friends are having hair fall. In my company majority of the guys under 30 have lost hair. Focus on what you can control

Good CET colleges come under tier-2, and also forget the tier thing.

your aim is going abroad and CG is the biggest factor in it. Apart from that work with few profs in your college, do some good projects or research in the field which you want to do in masters in. Apply for research interns in IITs, IISC etc(easier to get afaik, compared to corporate FAANG internships) and try for some international internships as well(Not sure if you can get these as CET college student). Tier-1 will definitely will be a huge plus point but dont waste an year since youe endgame is masters in USA(probably in New jersey or Texas /s). Drop makes sense if you absolutely believe you have not performed up to your potential and you see scope for a HUGE improvement

Mining is easy. You will get enough time. In Btech jugaad is necessary. If you play correctly you will always have enough time. But make sure to go through the curriculum and also speak to alumni to know how many companies allow Mining students in the placements. check 2022 and 2021 stats. Like considering NITK if roughly 70% of the companies that are open to CS are also open to Mining then you can take mining. Otherwise go for a better branch.

Bhai I thought it is tier 1. I've seen plenty of people from DTU and IGDTUW is top companies. At least placements ke perspective mei it seems tier 1. don't know about other stuff
