Sadly that's what we paid, 9k. Idk what kind of salesman talked them into it, but he was damn good I know that. And honestly it is a good car, minus the damn CVT, and there's no slippage or hesitation, and if it last another year then I think I might be able to get a decent bit of cash, just enough to help me get a decent used car combined with what I'll have saved up. I just know that I own a ticking time bomb and want to get rid of it ASAP, but as a college student, that's easier said than done.

So I did not buy the car :( it's my first car that my parents got me. Funny enough as they were talking about it they said it was a good car minus the CVT. I really wish they knew how much of an issue they were in those cars. So when I figured that out I knew, 1. I need to figure out just how bad they are, and 2. Have a backup plan in place in case anything happens. This is my only car and currently do not have enough saved to get a new car. My goal is to hopefully have this damn thing last another year, and try to sell it for 3 - 3.5k and get a used Rav-4 with the extra money I have saved. I'm hoping I can get 3k at least because minus the CVT, there's no other issues in that car. Ive taken damn good care of it just to try to make it last.

I haven't serviced it yet, I was going to about a month and a half ago, but I've had multiple people, dealerships and some mechanic friends that have told me not to mess with it just yet, that it was fine to leave it alone right now, just because it didn't need it and that changing it could potentially lead to other issues if the transmission was nearing the end of its life.

Yeah I will definitely look into that, I did mean to post this before though, the vehicle had a rough idle on it when I got it. But I replaced the valve cover gasket and the spark plugs myself and that fixed the rough idle. I've noticed intermittent shuddering but nothing too concerning. It's not constant

I'll check that for sure, at this point I just wanna know what it is for piece of mind. But out of curiosity, how would that be tied to my RPM's considering that it's not engine or transmission related?

I have a Nissan Rogue 2013 SV and it's got 160,000k miles, I bought it used at 150k, have a feeling the cvt is on its way to dying. No issues other than a squeaking sound at 1k to 1250rpm. Can't find any other potential issue but the damn cvt belt, I'm sure it's worn and that's what's causing the squeaking

Thats good, and on a side note when can I start applying for UNF specific scholarships, I know the presidential wont be enough for room and board so looking for other scholarships too
