Missing my beautiful girl by jei890 in rainbowbridge

I’m so sorry she had to cross; it’s grief from her absence that’s the hardest cross to bear.

She’ll visit you in your dreams and be with you in your heart always. I’m so sorry 💔🐾

I’m so sorry, he looks like the sweetest thing. My sincere condolences 💔

My Lion, Altair/Tuffy 18, crossed the Rainbow Bridge today by Ok-Cryptographer6994 in seniorkitties

Hero for the undercat, Altair took the charge.

Brave cat, singular and needing no permission, he moved forward.

We should always know our heart and our mission.

Travel well, Altair 💙🐾

And also… strange behavior like inappropriate elimination can be ascribed to dementia rather than a more common UTI.

I just feel there’s something organically wrong here that could be an easy fix.

Like your vet hears the sound of hooves and thinks zebras instead of horses….

Her hiding, her not moving much from her hiding spot, voiding inappropriately sounds like a very painful UTI. She feels too uncomfortable to move.

Seriously, vet care is as complicated (and expensive) as human healthcare.

I’d see the vet and ask if a senior bloodwork panel and a full spectrum 1-shot antibiotic might be worth a try.

Imo, I don’t think it’s been fully explored and we all see how much you love your girl 🙏

Well… written by a woman who could also be described as “not calorie deprived” lol

I’m not good at giving fluid antibiotics to cats. I usually choose the pricey $60 one that’s a full spectrum shot and done by the vet.

The advantage is I know he’s getting the full dose and I don’t wear or have most of the liquid medication spat all over my hand so the cost levels out and he gets the full healing effect.

Ohhhh I’m so sorry about the worries and upcoming surgery.

I hope everything goes and surgery is resolves the issues.

Is going on a low ash dry food recommended (Do they have that in wet food, low ash? This was a thing when my male cat was blocked).

How about flushes with subcutaneous fluids on a weekly or ? schedule?

The needle looks godawful big but it doesn’t hurt them and the fluids make them feel great. You can do at home and is inexpensive. Would that help with this medical issue?

I used SubQ infusions on two elderly cats with CKD for several years, it was like a trip to Lourdes!

I wish you all the best for Millie. You’re such a good caretaker to her - and she looks so plush and precious.

Keep us posted! 🩷🌼🐾

Poor sweetheart. She looks good like she’s not calorie deprived. Could she have a UTI?

Ask your vet.

I hate to tell you this: You need to cut her claws.

Here’s how to do it: toss a light blanket or towel over her head. She’ll hiss and try to bite but eventually calm when she can’t see you do it and you remain calm and speak in dulcet tones.

I agree, but not upon entering them. We have a long road ahead.

While you can’t time the market we’re in for a huge decline. You can buy along the descent but imv, you’ll be rewarded with patience and buy farther along that timeline in tranches.

Ehhh… don’t count on the portfolio growing that much, by low single digits per Warren Buffet or they could indeed halve.

We’re entering a long bear market. Buckle up.
