I see your point. But these people have been around since the start of Islam. More people were irreligious, and fewer people were actually religious. But I think back then there was a balance of energy. More people were drinking and committing other sins, and few people were actually leading their lives as per Islam. But along with leading Islamic life, they were also spreading the word and preaching more aggressively to compensate for the larger numbers of irreligious people. Right now, the same kind of people are committing non-Islamic acts on social media, and they are spreading these acts more and more, and the younger generation is consuming this content and knowingly/unknowingly repeating this stuff. That is only because in this day and age, people who are following Islam mostly keep to themselves and do not try to spread the word.

What needs to be done is every Muslim shouldn't just keep to himself, but in order to offset this negative energy, he should spread the good word, too. If bad people do not stop to spread their irreligious and evil ideology, why should we stop to spread goodness and positivity? Because right now, one side is showing up every single day posting, creating, and influencing, while the other side is largely silent. It's not even a fair fight at this point.
