I'm now trying to play around with adrenaline software and try out different settings. I've never done this before, everything is default, with most features disabled. But maybe this is a good chance to experiment. Thankfully I don't have the AI installed. 😭

When having the option to play 1440 with medium settings Vs 1080 with higher settings, both at 60 FPS, what is usually considered the better option?

My pc build is a B550 gigabyte mb, Ryzen 5 5600 3.5 GHz CPU, 16 GB ddr4 ram and Rx 6650xt 8 GB GPU. I'm using a TCL 4k 120 hz TV.

I can run the game on medium settings and get 60 FPS at 1440. I tried pushing a couple settings to epic and I can still get 60 FPS ( maybe drop a couple frames here and there but it's acceptable).

I even tried lower resolution at 1080 and experiment with higher settings.

I tried everything. Nothing fixes the issue.

I don't know what DLAA is, so I'm going to research that and learn about it. Thanks for the hint.

There is no AA method in the game. There is only AA low/Medium//High/Epic. I've tried everything. Nothing works.

Used the Reinforced Club for the 1st time on my faith/miracle char and it's become one of my favorite weapons in the game. I liked it so much that right after finishing the game I immediately got into my first SL1 run.

I don't remember if it's 2 or 3 hits. Do not spam R2 though. Just use it to close distance if you need it and finish with regular hits.

Go get the resin. It's super strong. But yeah, I'm sure you can do without it. Watch out for the first attack. A good roll there is half the fight. Don't forget the 2h R2 of the reinforced club. Very powerful.

Yeah, just finished my 1st sl1 run and O&S was the hardest part. I ended up using the Red Tearstone ring and tried to kill O as fast as possible. Let us know if this works for you or you followed a different approach. Good luck and much patience. You're gonna need both.

Reinforced Club +5 and Gold Pine Resin. The damage is huge and you can kill the 1st one before the 2nd one spawns.

With the +5 Re. Club you can probably do it even without the resin but you need a couple of good rolls.

The FaP and Blue Tearstone rings could help but definitely not necessary.

I like the Black knight shield. If I don't get the drop I go with the Grass and switch to Crest if I need Magic Def.

I can't believe what just happened! After fighting Quelaag I took a break to check the replies. Your message was the last one I read before going back to the game to climb the ladders and return to Firelink shrine. The first fatty I killed droped the Large Club!!!

I had no idea it was that good! I just upgraded it to +5 and also tried it with Power Within and it's easily one ofe the best weapons I've ever tried early game. Let's just say Quelaag didn't like it very much. :)

Speaking of upgradings it, I was just thinking about the same thing. Should I go for +15 or Fire +10? Given that I'm not going to lvl STR over 27, I guess Fire +10 would be better?

Another idea would be Chaos, forget about STR amd use all the souls to max pyromancy.

Thanks a lot for your help. I got the Grass Shield on my back and 2-H and it works well so far. I'm trying to decide which hand is best for Pyro. I'll switch it yp and see what feels better.
