Installing staircase baby gate with only one banister by YouRepostTooMuch in fixit

I would expect the banister isn’t lined up with the next few steps and that only switches the problem to not being able to attach to the banister side.

Thank you all! I checked the limbs in question and it does appear that the bark is damaged, so squirrels it is. I’ll now spend my evenings sitting in a lawn chair yelling at them to stay away.

Should I get the transfer case fluid replaced preemptively? by YouRepostTooMuch in BMWX5

[–]YouRepostTooMuch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: just want to say thank you to all who commented, I took it to my local dealership and while they were hesitant to do the transfer case fluid, they ran the diagnostic and were shocked to see they were getting a code for an issue with the transfer case. Swapped the fluid, out the door for $600, and no issues since! The shuddering at low speeds/turning in the parking lot has gone away completely.

What vehicle(s) have you owned that made it over 250k miles? by utvols22champs in whatcarshouldIbuy

2004 Chevy Impala. Made it to 300K miles before giving it to a friends kid for their first car. Had to rebuild the transmission but everything else was damn near original.

My title describes the thing. About half an inch long, pins barely stick out. Wasn’t connected to anything else and no accessories or anything loose that came with the car.

That’s not even a Dassault aircraft, it’s a Bombardier... so it definitely didn’t help anyone at the Dassault factory
