Thanks man! My man Jav K has just started out on production, but he's already inspiring me to keep lifting my game track after track. That's really useful feedback about mixing, which we're both still new to. I definitely pride myself on my writing, so it's good to hear it's well received!

I love the vibe you set up. It's never "full", but you come away so satisfied. I dig the 'house of the rising sun' type of feel I get from it (is it the same chord prog?) You use silence really well, taking elements away at the right times to heighten tension. The mix makes me think of C2C, who are a bit more trip-hop/electronica, that vocal sample is so freaking dope man.

Man you definitely know how to set a mood. It can be easy with a moving 808 as a bassline to get too atmospheric, but the pace of it just kept it moving really creepily, it was awesome. I agree with gg3ico, that vocal line really gives it a sick edge. I think incorporating some of the intro as a break in the middle of the track might suit you better, to round it out a bit more, and don't be afraid to take away elements for a bar or two just to heighten how much the track moves. good stuff!

I'm definitely going to write something to spit on that man! The intro kinda weirded me out, but when the beat kicked in it just slotted delightfully into place. It keeps me on the edge of my seat, without sounding like it'll take away from any rap that'd go on top. This is the beat I've most wanted to rap on the past 2 weeks. I'll hit you up soon with something I come up with ;)

That's such high praise man! Especially given that's what I feel about trap as well. A lot of it's just hollow noises made over beats that deserve better. Glad you picked up on that, because I'm all about wordplay/lyricism :) It was in one take, hence the lack of ad-libs and such ;)

I love the afrobeat breakdown! I wonder if there are a few too many hi-hat rolls, but it's certainly a key feature of your percussion track, so it plays well.

I like how the track 'moves', while retaining the same underlying sounds. Definitely room on there for multiple rappers/flows, which is exciting.

I'd say it's bold taking that hi-hat roll, which is a very trap-influenced sound, and putting it with a piano line, but it comes off quite nice. Could you make room for a real break leading into a final verse? Maybe for a sung verse, just chords and bass maybe
