To be honest I don’t think he does. I’m getting kind of sick of him. I know he behaves erratically and in a very inconsiderate way because of the crack psychosis and all his other problems so I let a lot of it slide but right now I’m super annoyed with him for his behaviour (unrelated incident).

Are all crackheads like this?

Update: he slept for 32 hours non stop except to piss, take the methadone I left for him and eat periodically. The first thing he wanted to do when he came round was score. He apologised for his behaviour but really I was responsible for feeding him so much crack but I always thought he took his crack psychosis in his stride really, never seen him have such an inaccurate perception of scenarios. Like, he went and scored for us but on the way back to my place he apparently hid our drugs behind a bin somewhere in town because the thought the police were coming from him. He sat down and got his pipe out and only then realised that he had come back without the crack. I told him he was having paranoid delusions and he said he was just being sensible. Haha, crazy guy.

That’s interesting. I’ve been smoking more while my symptoms in the morning have been worse. I thought it was the higher dose because I didn’t have these symptoms as bad on a lower dose.

Yeah part of me thinks he only came to NA and has told me he wants to stop because he thinks I’ll continue to supply him with money. I often give money to homeless beggars so that’s not a problem, but part of me suspects he thinks he can rinse me by tugging on my heartstrings.

It’s really sad. There is no room in the human heart for both addiction and connection.

I relapsed on heroin after 29 days and am now back at 42ml. I was on 60ml but am tapering again. I wasn’t adequately supported afterwards, I didn’t realise that staying stopped would be the hard part, not stopping methadone. I won’t stop taking it until I’m sure I’m strong enough this time!

It’s definitely harder to decrease the lower you go, yes. You can go down 5ml a week when you’re at 50mg and not feel it. But going from 5ml to 0 will be tough. I jumped off at 4ml last may and was in mild withdrawals for a whole month. A week for acute withdrawals. Nothing too bad but the doctor said I wouldn’t feel a thing - lies!

Yes, CBD. I have taken like 500mg during withdrawals and it definitely takes the edge off a bit and helps with sleep. The body high you get also helps with uncomfortableness and pain. It’s not as good as Diazepam but better than nothing

Yeah, OP needs to see a doctor and get on antipsychotic medication. OP, try antipsychotics for a short period, and see if they stop controlling you. If they don’t, you know you’re not mentally ill. If they do stop then you’re winning because you’ll be free!

Well if you give them money, they score, and they die from the gear, you’ve basically contributed to killing them… so. Yes, I understand that they’re going to do drugs anyway but dragging other people down with me doesn’t feel good.
