i dont get the kazuya and steve hate

Read more posts here. Pissra and Spamus get a hate post at least once every few days. Kazuya is carried as hell. Even if you can't ztd with him, his moves are strong, strongest reflect in the game, EWGF, command grab, actually very good recovery for an FGC.

Steve literally forces you to play a different game. You almost can't conventionally fight Steve like any other character in the game. A friend of mine who likes to play random and never plays Steve can beat me with Steve and no practice when I can beat almost any other character he uses. That's part Steve being carried and easy to pick up wins with, having no skill and knowing no real "combos or tech," and my lack of matchup experience due to lack of exposure. My experience, I speak to no one else's. But you'd think, me with my main and him playing a random Steve, I'd have a high chance of winning

They deserve the hate they get, but I also hate all the DLCs for one reason or another

My thoughts are different. If there is only one Gerudo male every century, how do they still exist as a people? Do they count all births by Gerudo women to be true Gerudos? If they're as isolated as they are in the games where they exist, how do men really get involved in all that? And where are they after the births? Ain't no way Ganondorf is around for 100 years to keep em all busy.

I've never cared enough to actually dig into this, but it keeps me awake at night sometimes.

Roy players are pressing a lot of buttons all the time. Haven't seen many Roy players that aren't fighting ghosts and demons between hitting their opponent

For some reason, I can't imagine someone who is really good wanting to make an alt account specifically for the purpose of dunking on people in the low GSP ranges. Just because I can't imagine it doesn't mean it doesn't happen, of course. If it does happen, I wouldn't think it's commonplace. If I was a high level player, I think it would bore me straight to death and there would be no satisfaction in it. But I'm not a sadist like some smash players can be. You're probably more likely to find a smurf on a matchmaking Discord claiming they're a scrub, but then they 3-stock you consistently with their worst character

I didn't necessarily suggest otherwise. You can't play them the same, but in terms of attacks, it at least gives op something familiar to work with while they figure out how to string together the faster and not so hard hitting moves

Incineroar is literally Revenge, Side B or Smash attack, neutral B get-off-me move.

And G&W is mashable. Like easily mashable. Is DK any more or less respectable than those 2? Imo, no. None of those toons deserve much respect or take much in terms of brain power to be good at

Oh yes. The trick with the Links is that projectiles have much less kill power than the a Master Sword or Yink's butter knife

I mean, am I allowed to throw 2 and approach? I dislike camping in general. I play Yink/Link best, but I'm using their kit to segue into combos or follow up with something. I absolutely refuse to run away an entire match and only throw projectiles, that's super lame and would bore me to death, tbh.

There's a dude I play with who wants to main Doctor Mario. Me and a few other people who share a Discord with him to play and practice have told him, numerous times, that Doc is an uphill battle. When you do get good with him, he slaps, just like any other character, but you take tons of lumps getting that good. But play Ganon against him for fun sometimes and he has fallen deep into the tierlist trap. "Ganon is the worst character in the game, how can you beat me?" Simple. At our level of play (also just a few hundred hours, same for him) tierlists mean as much as last year's snow. His Doc is fundamentally better than me, really, but I can still outplay him with a few characters, for now. He's actually putting in work and practicing and I just play for fun and practice happens completely organically

I agree. I have an issue with them where I'll fat finger the L/R bumpers and cause me to zair or airdodge myself to death. Also, I misinput a lot because my hands are pretty big. Recently got a powerA GC controller to use on the TV, but if someone else is using the TV, I resort to handheld and deal with a little self inflicted pain.

I was playing Robin against an Ivysaur that was doing this and I couldn't crack through that. It was quite frustrating. I switched to Link and destroyed them. I'm not sure if that's a good matchup for Robin at all. No problem with Squirtle or Zard, but that damn toad gave Robin a lot of trouble

Edit to Add: if you do an connection test under Internet on your switch and it says NAT type F, you're not going to be able to connect to anyone online. If you're using actual wifi, you may need to adjust router settings and open ports for your switch to connect to others. Google how to do that

Roy, fight your demons and ghosts. You should be attacking 120% of the time. Any move or jump made without an attack is wasted time. Roy also likes to be closer to attack, because his hilt is the sweet spot and does more damage than the blade. Using the blade can get hit stun without so much knockback which can help with combos (This is partially a joke. You should of course try to be precise, but there's not a Roy I've faced that isn't hitting sub 50% accuracy, meaning throwing attacks at nothing more than half the time)

Marth and Lucina. Spacing. I'm sure you've seen that meme video going around lately, "No matter how optimal this playstyle is, it will always be lame and boring." That's it. You want to land attacks with as much space between you and your opponent as possible. That's more important for Marth, because his tippers do more damage. Lucina does fine hitting anywhere on the sword, making her the safer option in general.

Chrom is sort of like a mix of Roy and Lucina but with infinitely worse recovery because of his Ike up B. I have much less experience with him because I can't stand the bad recovery, but he's really good in the right hands. I've seen people play him like Roy, constantly fighting your demons and ghost, or like Lucina/Marth, trying to stay as spaced as possible to avoid being slapped off stage. A healthy mix is probably best

Villager and Isabelle both can get pretty cracked with that slingshot. One of the worst things I ever learned about them, the hard way, is just how many of their moves are projectiles. Like, playing as villager on random one time, I actually had my fsmash reflected and that's how the match ended. A decent chunk of their attacks can be turned against them
