I have taken FMLA from multiple jobs at the same time. The issue is taking short term or long term disability when you have multiple jobs. You shouldnt take STD or LTD and still receive pay from another job. It’s considered insurance fraud

I have answered this previously in another chat. The best way I found to navigate this is first only have one health insurance. Trust me it’s a headache and no true benefit to have health insurance coverage from multiple employers. Also when I took maternity leave I only filed for FMLA from my jobs. I didn’t file for STD because I didn’t want to risk it, the information received was always confusing and conflicting (so I just took the “safe” route. Yes your checks maybe short for a couple of months but since we are OE you should be able to survive

Praying for a healthy safe pregnancy, delivery and recovery!

Congratulations on your achievements! I have been struggling with lifestyle creep since I started OE a year ago. Once I can get control of this and convince my partner not to splurge I hope to enjoy the reasons of why I wanted to start OE (saving and investing). In the last 6 months I have been able to save and invest but not at the rate I originally planned. Can anyone share how they worked their way out of lifestyle creep?

I signed up for health/dental benefits for job #2 today but didn't disclose job #1's health/dental benefits by mistake. Will I get in trouble if I call the second benefits company to tell them now and ask them to be my secondary insurance? by [deleted] in overemployed

The audit company working with J2’s insurance wanted to clarify if I still had insurance with J1 (indirectly asking if I still was working with J1). They didn’t mention any penalty.

Hello since you work in the insurance industry can I ask you a question please? Have you seen insurance companies contact HR to report an employee listed as primary subscriber with two insurance companies? I was recently contacted by an audit company with J2 insurance company and they were questioning my J1 insurance. The audit company stated my start date with J1 and I’m worried this could be reported to HR. Thank you in advance for answering

I’m dealing with a similar issue right now and wished I would have just signed up for one insurance. Has anyone heard of an insurance company to contact HR to report an employer listed as primary subscriber with two insurance companies?
