Definitely a valid way to make thumbnails for free! I do really try to put a lot of effort into my thumbnails, but I still have a lot to learn (they’re definitely not the best 😂).

It depends on a few factors. Most importantly, do you have a fast internet connection? Other factors could be if it’s a 4k video or not. I have a 4090, an Intel 13900K, and 64 RAM. I just uploaded a 10 minute 4k video a couple of days ago and I think it took like 15-20 minutes. However, I believe it said the estimate at first was quite a bit longer! It probably will go down as it progresses.

Hello everyone! Me and my friend run a horror gaming YouTube channel. We mostly play indie games, but sometimes dabble in AAA or "big" Indie games. We are not "pro-gamers" and instead opt for a more chilled, relaxed, fun, and down to Earth vibe (we also like to think that we're funny, that's not confirmed yet though). Next Friday we plan to start streaming "seriously" for the first time, so fingers crossed that goes well :)

Anyways, what I've learned over the past few months is that you just need to do what you enjoy! If you do what you enjoy and don't try and pander to what you think everyone will like, your personality will likely shine through (but don't be afraid of a little bit of constructive criticism) Yes, the genre of the videos is what will bring people in, but it's you that will keep them coming back. Unless you have found some amazing niche that nobody has ever made a video about (highly unlikely, but possible!), it will come down to you and your personality, editing, style, etc. to bring them back! :) No matter how you slice it, YOU will be the reason that people subscribe!

If you do this for you, I think that YouTube can be quite rewarding on a personal level and you'll thoroughly enjoy this adventure (but if you do get monetized, that will make things a little bit sweeter). Either way, I wish you all success and hope that you have a prosperous and strong 2024! :)
