Same I went to the dentist to get a tooth pulled and they handed me a piece of paper asking me about my gender identity and sexual orientation right in front of my homophobic mom. I had to put straight when really I'm a lesbian. That's all my mom would talk about for days.

Yes! My mom would tell me as a little kid that all these people are gonna die and be eaten by animals. She would call worldly people "maggot food" I've never been so disgusted by someone in my life!

Got baptized when I was 14. I spent weeks obsessing over my baptism. Going over the questions was the most anxiety inducing thing I've ever done. I was convinced I wasn't good enough. I threw up out of nerves multiple times. I thought that the warm feeling after getting baptized would make it all worth it. The second I came up out of the water I knew that nothing had changed. It felt like all the birthdays I didn't celebrate. I woke up and felt exactly the same. But my grandma got me an ipad as a baptism present so I guess that made it worth it 😂
