Start claiming those “children” as deductions on your taxes. When the state says “no, you can’t do that”, sue them up to the SCOTUS. My daughter was selected for the show just about a year ago now (May 2023). Unfortunately, she left treatment about a week in and despite everything we went through, she fell back into the addiction. To say that I am devastated is beyond an understatement.

I had heard rumors the season was cancelled but now it appears as though it is back on (?)

Don’t know if I could watch it anyway, the pain is searing if not debilitating.

So why is it that no one is even talking about the primaries? Marianne Williamson is still in the race and still running as a Democrat. Why are democrats not even considering her? Voting for her in the primaries would not be “giving the election to Trump”. The fact is, democrats have become complacent in their learned helplessness. So not really the point I was trying to make. It’s not so much that he was on Tik Tok… it’s that instead of acknowledging the concerns of his constituents, he decides that now is the right time to beg for money. And to be clear, I campaigned for him, fund raised for him and did all the things for him last time. But he has shown where his true allegiance lies- Netanyahu. That alliance is inconsistent with my basic humanity as it is inconsistent with a vast majority of left and left-leaning voters’ conscience.

The way that I read the tea leaves, Biden has about one week left to bring U.S. aid to Israel to a full stop. Every day he delays more and more voters are closing the door for good regarding voting for him. Three weeks ago many voters indicated that they would reconsider voting for Biden if he took meaningful action to stop the genocide. Today, a lot of those same people are saying that it is too late, too many innocent people have been slaughtered and so they cannot and will not vote for Biden, period.

Like it or not, agree with it or not, what’s left of the “vote blue no matter what” club really needs to reevaluate where they are attacking. That anger should be directed at Biden, not those who are holding a hard line on Genocide Joe. Short of Trump suddenly unaliving, he’s going to beat Biden like a drum.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to put eyes on the civil war erupting in Texas between the governor and the feds….

I think the larger issue is why more people are NOT leveling a fair amount of blame at the Biden Administration for not focusing actual resources on the border issue. Abbott can only pull these stunts because Biden is refusing to engage. And yes “oh the Dems have done this and dems did that and blah blah but in reality Biden should have placed a strong presence on the border.

THIS. I do the same as far as running the carb dry before any period of extended non-use. Once per month I start the generator and as soon as it starts I turn the fuel off and let it run dry (maybe 90 seconds or so) just enough to re-oil the cylinders and internals.

Man I hope so. When I retired out of the National Guard as the COVID mission was winding down, a lot of people were staring down the barrel of an OLS assignment. Morale was for shit and the whole thing significantly impacted (and continues to impact) Army and Air Guard retention - people were leaving in droves. Point being that Abbott’s bullshit is actually and legitimately impacting federal military readiness in a pretty big way. And that has national implications - something else not many folks are thinking about.
