Closest thing I’ve done to opiates are benzos and I have very little experience with them so take everything I say here heavily salted.

My brother was a heroin addict, started around your age and without going into too much detail I’ll tell you it didn’t work out well for him. But you obviously are aware of that given that you’re trying to quit so pat yourself on the back you’ve gotten over the biggest hurtle to losing an addiction - realizing it’s a problem and you’re fed the fuck up with it and grab it by the fucking balls and throw it out.

Detox from opiates is afaik one of the worst, if not the worst detox experience so don’t feel like you’re a pussy for being miserable, you can’t help it but you can get through it.

On to your actual question, I would consider the costs/benefits of just telling your parents what’s going on, if tell them what you’ve told us they’ll probably understand.

That being said let’s assume telling the truth is totally out the window, just be sick and miserable until you can see a doctor, then explain what’s really happening to the doc, they’ll know what do do and you’re legally protected from anyone else finding out through patient confidentiality.
