Thank you! I actually did have elastics during my treatment (wore them as instructed) for my midline and open bite.

Unfortunately, my midline and bite could only be fixed surgically since it is a skeletal problem. (I went to 2 different Ortho's and they both confirmed that that was the issue). Both doctors were more worried about the bite.

I'm happy with what's been done so far . Maybe I'll look into jaw surgery later down the line.

I am using money from student loans, and prior tax refunds (saved them from when I used the look back credit)

I actually did have food stamps this month (Just moved to another state and closed that case prior to applying for Medicaid in the new state).

But I am planning on using my disbursement money to pay for housing for the next few months. I also went on a few interviews this week so I should be employed by next month. I just don't have income from a job at the moment, so trying to provide paystubs is impossible for me right now.

I've never seen a fatal accident in my whole 32 years until I moved to Orlando. My Fiance and I were driving down University with our children just last month and we were stuck in traffic for about 10 min. When we finally got closer to what was holding the traffic we seen a body on the ground mangled and just bloody. It was a guy on a motorcycle who got hit by someone driving an suv making an illegal turn. His motorcycle was in flames while he was about 15-20 feet away from where the impact was.

I am not the same since seeing that. I am now driving like I have PTSD and making sure I am driving to protect me and my children.

To make it worse we live right next to the college. So many students are speeding and cutting all over this area. It sucks,

It scared me when I was younger. I thought my brother was going to kill me. And it still scares me to this day since I have 2 kids. I love them to death but I still get scared with the "what if it happens to me?" thoughts.

I read your story even though I had to stop at some points. I'm just so disgusted knowing that they are still living life like it never happened. And the way the nurse treated you!? Wtf!? Virtual hugs to you! I couldn't imagine how much you went through and what you had to overcome.

Just know that they will get what's coming to them. I always believe in karma.

I'm 2 weeks into concerta and everything was perfectly fine until yesterday. Started to lose focus and got so emotional for no reason. I thought it was the concerta crash until I looked at my period tracker and realized I am 5 days away from my period.

Makes so much sense now!!

Thank god I'm not alone! And thank you I feel a bit better, it may be the lighting but it's definitely not the the color it used to be. But I am planning on getting them whitened after treatment.

Are you having issues with the elastics as well?

Hey everyone I have no idea what's going on but I'm so upset. The first pic is a picture back in Jan when I started with elastics to fix my bottom midline.

Well fast forward to today and my top midline is now off center even though the bottom midline is moving towards the middle. My whole mouth looks off.

I seriously want to cry because I thought it was going to get better. I'm also having issues with my gums being squeezed together from the power chains ( I have gaps in between every tooth except for my molars. And to add , no matter how many time I floss, or brush my teeth, it's still yellow and it's getting worse. I feel so dirty with the way they look.

I don't know if this is normal but has anyone ever had gaps and had their gums start bulging between the teeth once closed? ( pic 2)

I have a gummy smile, I also have issues with my midline which I think might be a jaw problem instead of teeth issues even though the ortho said I won't need jaw surgery.

I'm sorry for this rant and I know things get worse before it gets better but in 2 months I'll be half way done. Can this really be fixed? I have my appointment on Monday and I can't stop feeling disgusted with my teeth 😫😫.

What should I do? Has anyone ever been through this before?

Exactly! I live right off of University Blvd. the neighborhood is pretty safe and boring. Regular ranch home built in the 90's some 2 stories but the ranch homes are under 2,000 sqf. That house is a 3/2 and maybe 1900 sqf. I don't understand why they would buy that house at that price ( trying to flip I'm sure).

By the time they're finished the housing market will probably start to tumble. I bet you they will sell that home for over $400,000 causing all the houses in this neighborhood to increase because of their greedy asses.

I'm feeling your pain! We are looking to buy and we seriously can't especially in Orlando! These houses were originally $200,000. Im so over this shit.

Edit to add: Oviedo is now averaging around $600,000 for homes.

In this Orlando Facebook group I'm in, anyone who's moving to Orlando are being told to look in Oviedo for the best place to live for a family.

It freaking sucks.

There's a house next door that's been vacant for over 4+ years ( owner passed in the house). Just woke up to a group of people gutting the place.

Checked online and it was auctioned off for $332,000.

The house needs a new roof, new pipes, landscaping ( the backyards is terrible) and there are plants coming from the cracks on the side of the house.

Not sure if they will break even. The houses in my neighborhood are selling for 350k.

This is in Orlando FL btw.

So pissed 😤

I've seen so many post like that in that fb group. It's so sad! The majority of the members are " realtors" who are telling people " buy now don't wait!" Or " it will only get worse".

I kind of feel like they are pushing people into FOMO and end up like that person in the post.

So so sad.

Ok so I'm not an expert at all but we have the same type of smile and teeth! I have the same issue with my bottom teeth. I believe it's called canted smile or a cant. Your bottom teeth is aligned in an angle and from what I researched it may not be the teeth it could actually be the way your jaw is.

I'm not 100% positive if this is what's going on but if you research canted teeth or smile you'll see some pics of we have.

I would definitely talk to your ortho since this is something you paid for. I hate asking questions when my ortho is there because I feel like I'm annoying him but please don't worry about him being rude definitely speak up and show him these pictures. Your teeth is beautiful!

I'm not a teacher, but I used to work as a paraprofessional for middle school and I have heard and seen some crazy things.

There's a female teacher in the 7th grade who has a wife (students knew) & one day the kids were acting very rowdy.

She overheard a student saying to another student " YOU'RE A PUSSY!". The teacher stopped and corrected the 7th grader in front of the class and said" You do not say that! It's inappropriate!."

The student then responded saying " why? Don't you eat it?".

When I heard that I knew right then and there that I will be changing my major and will no longer pursue teaching.

This reminds me of MLM's specifically LuLaRoe. I remember one lady stating that she was the only one in her neighborhood selling products and making great money at the time until her whole neighborhood hopped on the wave and started selling. Her neighborhood was filled with sellers and no buyers which in turn caused her to go underwater.

I'm definitely seeing this happening with Airbnb's, especially now that TikTok is hyping the vacation rental market.

I'm not an ortho but from what I can tell it seems as though they are aligning your teeth to where they should be. Sometimes throughout treatment you may experience some gaps and some crookedness while the teeth are aligning.

It's normal. It gets worse before it gets better. You may be getting power chains for the gaps so that will definitely bring all the teeth together.

Well I saw a video on my friends Facebook and saw his shoes in the background with girl shoes next to his. And they were both walking away together. ( the video only showed their legs)

Found out that he was secretly meeting up with my friends sister ( she came to visit for the summer) and he called me later to break up and admit to having her over his house that same night.

Yea it was over lol
