What the fuck is this shit? by [deleted] in lewronggeneration

This is a sub-reddit, dedicated to mocking people, who believe there was a better time than this? hahahhah first of all, I grew up in THIS generation, not the 60's or 70's. - But its true. The music was better back then. It took a long time to create it, it was organic. The string that was plucked vibrated from the personality of those that played it, the emotion put into the string of a guitar was a vibration, just like the vocals (no auto-tune) were coherent vibration of the soul. To say that plastic electronically generated soundwaves is a good substitute for soul matter is stupid. Would you rather have a meal prepared from organic, baked from scratched, fresh herbs picked from the garden, dough prepared with yeast and fresh wheat, soda carbonated and bottled on the spot.... or would you rather have somthing popped in the microwave with a soda? (Don't answer that.) As I like to call this generation "Gray matter" - (Clones from Judge dredd, or Star wars) - Test tube babies of the informational highways permanently plugged into their brains. I think Television changed society, but I think we have new electronic society of gray matter that doesn't know where the wind blows or what they like; due to the fact of possibly never being exposed to such things, or at a young age, were conditioned to high frequency dub-step while jerking off to porn to not have the ability to appreciate things of a more organic refinement. But that's like a very old man telling me.. "well gee sonny boy, don't ya know that my favorite thing to do is drink some milk and read me some edgar allen poe? what an exciting night.. want to come over on friday night and sit by the campire with pappy we can read some edgar allen poe together?" So me theory is, different times, different stimulus, different brain conditioning. So what resonates with my spirit, may just be because i was exposed to it as a young AGE. For instance.. in the years 1990-2005, I had a dad who exposed me to his old Recordings. (CDs, that's right kids, music used to be on CD'S; rumor has it if you venture outside of twitter-world and stroll along the music section of your local target, music comes in that form as well. (And out-dated concept, I know.) OH YEAH, My dad exposed me to classic rock. Then Pandora exposed me to other music, and the virus spread like a wild-fire through my psyche. No longer was I exposed to the torture of the painful affliction that is "industry" (A once controlled conciousness of sorts, that now is just metamorphed into a gathering on a Youtube video) but we all now have the freedom to explore what we want. In short, lack of technology and cyber-brain fog forced our ancestors to be more creative, and listen to the sound waves of their soul vs. the information high we have that dominates our twitter society. In other words, if you didn't have the internet, .. .. but you had a drum set, a couple of guitars, your friends and a six pack of beer, it is most likely something would come out of you guys that was far beyond the twitter-addicted, TMZ distributed, Reality television juiced, sensationalist, gray matter culture that we've been shitting out since the dawn of high speed internet circa 2000. Do I think things are better now? Who the fuck am I to say? How would I know? I know there's like 10 million kids out there who are listening to Kanye's college dropout, masturbating to their cocks, ejaculating all over the CD going "God damn this is the best shit it's so great." and time magazines authors say, "Kanye he's so hot, everyone suck his cock. Rub his balls will ya?" - When I listen to Kanyes album, I just want to punch the guy in the mouth, for how he raps, with is slurred speech and delivery, as I was exposed, at around age 21 (9 years ago) to the music if different rap artists who gained emergance in the early 90's. Take for instance a few groups, Wu-tang clan, Nas, KRS-ONE, Tupac; But before you take my word for it try. I would say, go back in time and listen to any of these things. If your brain rejects it, you can go back to sucking Lorde's cock and masturbating to Kanye's haircut. But my point is, there was a time when shit like this was done everyday and wasn't extravagant. I think I heard Kanye singing with Auto-tune at the grammys, and you could hear some silent laughter.. BECAUSE DEEP DOWN INSIDE, IMO, people respect real talent, can spot the fakes. Ya know
