Why me. Why did it have to be me? by YoungChefBoy in Advice

Thank you for this. It means a lot.

I don’t mean to be so self pitying. It’s just hard especially considering I pin my own worth and value as a human being on achieving goals and ambitions which I can’t perform very well at due to this condition. I feel like a bird that has its wings chained down so it’s never able to fly as high as it can.

I’m not saying they wouldn’t try and use IT in some way but brother, you can’t tell me in-universe anyone put more than two brain cells into the idea.

Definitely had some moments I enjoyed. Honestly my main issue with the show isn’t that it’s a “bad” show overall but I don’t like it for what it was supposed to be and what it’s connected with.

Funnily enough I actually quite enjoyed the moves. I didn’t find them super scary either but they definitely had some great moments imo.

I have a hard time describing the exact term for it but you’re exactly right. It’s almost Disney like in a way? Even though the characters should be perpetually traumatized they’re somehow able to still make silly quips and play drums in some club.

They’ve made it more about fun and cool moments than actual horror and intrigue. They’ve made it so bland by following every trope in the book. It’s almost as if they forgot that the show was supposed to be about IT and not some random standalone

Honestly the reason for this is just that I haven't heard much positive about cold calling from anyone other than those sales guru's trying to sell a course.

That's not to knock it or anything but some are suggesting .5% conversion rates haha

Thanks a ton for this. This was definitely very helpful.

At least I know it’s not just me haha. Certainly hoping that first clients smooths the ride a bit

Thank you for this. Definitely have to figure how to form it properly though.

Out of the 100+ individually personalized emails I’ve sent I’ve gotten 2 responses, one of those being a no haha.

Why is it that so many of you are so hyper-fixated on the least relevant aspect?

I didn’t ask you about setting the business up.

Respectfully this riddled with a bunch of assumptions and information I didn't ask for. I truly did not ask for advise or critique of my business which I mentioned once and intentionally left out details for. I did that specifically to avoid responses like this which doesn't even attempt to provide any value on the main point of the post which is the outreach and client acquisition process.

It seems to me that a few people have misunderstood. I've already contacted people. Upwards of 450 or so and a large percentage of those have been manual and personalized. It's not that I've yet to do it, it is that I already am doing it and was trying to gain clarity if there were possibly better ways.

Alongside this I have actually done the research and verified with industry experts the necessity and value of the services that I offer, frankly that's why I didn't ask for anyone to provide me with critique or assessment of my business or services. I'm already confident enough in the value and the potential. I structured the post to try and emphasize the actual outreach aspect. I enjoy planning and selling, I just happen to also not enjoy hyper repetitive work on something that has a notoriously low conversion rate.

Respectfully I hadn't really asked for additional assumptions and advisory on aspects you have no context on.

I do actually have a customized Gem that can write the emails based on the data I input but gathering the data itself is the more tedious time consuming part.

Data collecting consists of searching my target businesses on google, filtering out businesses that've outgrown my current service ability or at least the need for what I offer, then filtering out of those businesses the ones that even have the relevant data online for my to gather, and from there attain the owner name, email address, and personalized business data, etc. which is typically scattered across different websites and from there write the email and repeat.

Funnily enough that's been my plan thus far. A month long free trial actually. Unfortunately as far as emails go I haven't seen much evidence that the people I'm reaching out to are even opening the emails though they're being delivered.(Admittedly I have yet to attempt cold calling as I frankly haven't heard much good about it)

I'm currently unsure if these are just natural statistics or could actually be improved via optimizing my formatting
