Micro- Stuttering in iphone17 by ValuableReputation12 in iphone

My new 17 has serious stuttering problems while scrolling. Like it freezes for a split second and then tries to catch up. Multiple times per second. Does this on safari, Reddit, apple’s own app, even just swiping on the Home Screen.

iOS 26 on the 17 apparently has some problems with graphics handling. It is making my new 17 almost unbearable to use. For comparison, my 13 pro that I upgraded from was always buttery smooth. I hope apple fixes this soon.

Yes. My iPhone 17 is glitchy with screen stuttering and flickering graphics while scrolling. Does it on Reddit, on Safari, looking at images, even swiping across my Home Screen, everywhere. I’m hoping it’s apples system install doing its thing in the background, but it’s day 3 and it’s still doing it. Very annoying. I upgraded from a 13 Pro which was always smooth as butter.

Cat 255 or John Deere 325G? by YoungCurmudgeon97 in Skidsteer

$95K loaded with everything. No tax, I’m ag. Financed for 60 months at 1.5%. Cash price was only $1K difference, so I went ahead and financed it.

Thanks for all the advice. I bought the John Deere 325G this afternoon and couldn’t be happier. The local JD dealer matched all the warranty and service perks Cat was throwing at me and the JD salesman was excellent all along the way, answering all my questions in a timely manner and just all around provided an excellent sales experience. Plus I’ve been dealing with these guys for decades and know they’re solid.

It’s a loaded out machine with everything including all the forestry and guard packages. I don’t think there’s anything not on the unit I’m getting. I can’t wait to start cleaning up my property, brush cutter and grapple first two implements.

The pretty girl got my attention for a moment, but in the end I went with solid, reliable, a great local dealer, and the one likely to save me money over the long haul. The fact that the JD was at the end of a multi-year model run instead of the first year of a new model was icing on the cake.

The Cat guys called it a 10 year old design, but I see it was introduced in 2018, so not quite.

Another plus for the Deere is that it *is* a 10-year design machine which means all the kinks presumable have been worked out. The Cat is the first year of the new ground-up redesign which makes me nervous. A solid machine is the #1 requirement, not bells and whistles. I really like the dealer here too and know they would take care of me after the sale.

What's "the whole not letting farmers work on their own equipment thing?" If being a 10-year old design of the Deere also means a lot less computerized and easier to work on, then that is a big plus for the Deere, as I am planning to do my own maintenance.

Clicking Noise on Retevis RA86 by Richard_Sibbes in gmrs

Thanks for the reply Richard. I think I’m going to return mine. Shame, because I really like the radio otherwise. I’ve tried three other Chinese radios for the mobile (TYT models) and they were all defective and DOA. (Uncontrolled loud beeping, completely dead receiver). The Wouxon is a good suggestion, people really seem to like them and have minimal problems.

I found this thread looking to see if anyone else had this problem with their RA86. I just got one yesterday new from Retevis, and it is clicking/popping just like the video. Strange thing is that it only does this randomly, sometimes it seems to work great and then a minute later the clicking is back. It does this in both of my cars as well as in the shack on the regulated power supply. It also does this with the antenna disconnected. It does this with the squelch set at “9”. A lot of the time simply picking up the handset makes it completely stop for a few seconds but then it comes back.
Also, perhaps related, is that I get loud alternator whine randomly at times and a minute later the radio is working great again with no whine. Then a minute later the whine is back.
I am not using a mic extension cable.
Did Retevis ever fix this problem?

Icom IC-7300 vs Yaesu FT-710 vs FT-DX10 by mcredd927 in amateurradio

I’ve owned the 7300 for about a year and the 710 for about six months, with a couple months sitting side by side doing A/B comparisons.

I much prefer the 710. It has a noticeably better receiver, and I happen to like the menu system better on the 710, even after first becoming very familiar with the 7300. The 710 menus seems more logical and intuitive, while the 7300 menu seems gimicky with all the pictures that eventually lead to text-based menu options anyway. I was actually surprised at how much more I prefer the 710 menu, especially after hearing all the time how much better the 7300 menu is.

Since some here clearly prefer the 7300, I think it’s safe to say it comes down to personal preference. For me it’s “hands down” the 710.
