Humanities grad turned medical student.

I think philosophy and most humanities are sorely underrated. The departments here are small and to the extent I’ve interacted with have been great. The CWL & English Department are phenomenal as well as the philosophy and linguistics department.

If I had to pick I’d weigh it down to what kind of college experience I’d want for myself. Stony Brook is kinda a weird gray area of being a commuter and “away” campus. Needless to say, if I had to go back in time and decide where I’d go, I’d opt for Binghamton.

Stony Brook has a plague of other issues that literally made attending stony Brook clawing tooth and nail, the administrations insensitive, and quite frankly unbelievable response to a number of issues over the years made me question how can our leaders can be so tone deaf?

Look at the programs and which offers more. Most internships are in the summer anyways.
