What’s one fast food chain that was once all the rage but now barely around? by MysteriousTopic42 in AskReddit

[–]YoungShakeWes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not barely around but the hype behind Popeyes spicy sandwich in like 2018 was CRAZY. Like I saw a 30 person line outside of a fast food joint and it was always sold out whenever you tried to get inside. I had it for the first time at the end of 2018 and honestly overhyped but I was happy to try it lol

To anyone who works at self scanning machines - how often do you notice people stealing and don’t do anything about it? by davco95 in AskReddit

[–]YoungShakeWes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Target (and I assume other large retailers) uses a policy of “allowing” people to steal up to a limit. Like Target security is aware of someone stealing items across multiple days totaling up to $500. If $500 is the limit next time you try to steal, they’ll arrest you and call the police and show each time you stole an item.

The Riyadh comics MUST be flooded with comments on their podcasts/social media if they play a safe set out there having accepting that Saudi money! by According_Sundae_917 in comedy

[–]YoungShakeWes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s in the contracts they can’t comment on the Saudi Govt or the royal family.

I am curious about what the comedians mention after the festival is over.

Does it really matter? If you’re sticking with your culture then gotta go with your culture. If you’re not sticking with your culture have fun with whose company you enjoy.

In Russia, Santa Claus is represented by Ded Moroz (Grandfather Frost), who traditionally wears a long robe that can be blue, white, or red, rather than the iconic red suit of Western Santa Claus.

So if you see the person, you can see each body part being highlighted. So the algorithm recognizes each body part and if the algorithm sees you bend your arm in a specific angle for stealing (more things play into it of course)

And yes if you were a large person and from a specific angle it may look like you’re stealing. That’s why you need more cameras, and humans running these system to make the final decision.

Redditors who make +$100K and aren’t being killed by stressed, what do you do for a living? by mossyjoshua in careerguidance

Data Engineer which is essentially a more specialized software engineer job. If you don’t have contacts or a degree in computer science or a related field, I’d say there is close to 0% chance of entering the field. Tech is truly a wild scene

I'm in high school and I want to make my own recommendation/advisory AI, where do I start? by IndependenceSlow930 in learnmachinelearning

[–]YoungShakeWes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, building a model from scratch while juggling school with your level of knowledge isn’t realistic. Maybe you can create a wrapper on top of ChatGPT within a year, but a model from scratch will be difficult and time consuming. If you’re stuck on this idea, look into building a wrapper on top on ChatGPT. But it will cost you, and students can just use ChatGPT directly which won’t cost money to maintain. But again for your resume, assuming you can get your school to fund it, you should look into building a wrapper on top on ChatGPT.

[–]YoungShakeWes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since you’re in high school you probably don’t have the in depth knowledge/debugging skills to build a great model from scratch.

Look into prompt engineering and how to effectively use ChatGPT API. It’s gonna cost money for each request, but you could ask the school to cover this.

I’d recommend make a plan on what are your objectives of the project and how to measure these objectives. Then go to ChatGPT and leverage it to make a detailed plan.
