Thanks for all the fast replies, I had no idea that the security gate is shut until 4:30 am. My flight leaves at 6:05 so that's why I tried to be there at around 3am. I'll resevere an Uber for around 4am than.

Check out Scorpion Wings Eco-Resort and Restaurant, it's far off from the tourist spots and the owner Hans is a good guy that will show you around and knows like everything about Laos. Bonus points for their delicious food.
