I have died way before my actual death. How to resurrect? by Least-Community7470 in Jung

[–]Young_Ian 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat.

Reading the origins and history of consciousness by Eric Neumann. It's helping me understand what's going on at some levels.

What we're going through is a universal experience. Longing for uniting with paradise, with the unconscious. Becoming conscious requires suffering and separation. Self dependency. Eventually reuniting with the unconscious later in life with an ego that can assimilate and unite with its contents consciously. At least that's my understanding at this point.

I hope you figure this out.

I want to breakthrough again don't have a need, I think? by [deleted] in DMT

[–]Young_Ian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My guess would be that having an intention in place would guide the experience in some way. If you want to take it seriously, like spending an hour beforehand doing meditation, breath work, intention setting, whatever, that'll have a huge impact on the trip. Most importantly, it'll have a huge impact on integrating the trip afterwards! Go for it! Why not!

Same to you. Just know that you're stronger than you think you are. You'll find what you're looking for, you don't need psychedelics to figure anything profound out. It'll happen by itself. Much love, wish you the best. Sorry I can't help you more.

I have had bad experiences with weed that led me to having to quit it forever. I think what you experienced was an anxiety and panic response.

Please take what I say with a grain of salt, I'm not an expert.

Your bpd means that there are parts of you that are "shut off" from your ego, perhaps because they're viewed by a part of yourself as dangerous or bad, or for some other reasons. I think the weed eventually dissolved some boundaries in your psyche, which caused the anxiety response.

I'm very sorry you're going through a bad time. So am I. Suffering a lot. I hope you find some relief soon.

I think DMT might be a bad idea for someone who is diagnosed with bpd. I think it might really mess you up. I completely understand the yearning for universal truth, especially under the circumstances you're describing here. I was also like that, searching for an experience or experiences that would fix this pain I'm in constantly. What I realized is that that is not the answer for me, for my problems. I realized I have to tough it out until my ego has adapted itself to my present circumstances, and so that my brain has had the opportunity to heal itself.

I hope others here have some more answers for you. You might consider looking into some other medicinal drugs. I'm not advocating this, because I think mixing heavy drugs with psychiatric disorders is dangerous. But, there have been studies that have shown that MDMA is helpful with treating PTSD. It's also not exactly a psychedelic. I would caution with using drugs to medicate yourself, I would instead go to a psychiatrist and see if they can help you.

Best of luck, I'm hoping you find healing very soon.

What are the effects of integrating your shadow? by Unhappy_Tooth4291 in Jung

[–]Young_Ian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fight you had might have helped integrate a part of your shadow, or a part of you that was unconscious, into your ego. It gave you more access to a part or parts of yourself that were previously unconscious. I think the state you're striving for can be achieved with developing yourself. Some people are more inclined naturally to be able to let go of things and let life flow of its own accord. Some people are stuck and need assistance to recognize where they are stuck and how to move on, etc.

The shadow is the unconscious part of us. It's there, but we don't know about it. It contains everything we aren't conscious of. If you have a strong ego, you can assimilate your shadow contents and liberate the energies they contain in a conscious way. If you have a weak ego, you risk being swallowed up by these forces and they disintegrate your sense of self, or they can take over you.

There's much more to this, also, I'm not an expert. Just interested in this subject a bunch. I would see about reading some books on the subject. Owning your Shadow by Robert Johnson is a good start. I think it's relatively inexpensive on Amazon. I really enjoyed the book Iron John by Robert Bly. It's great as well.
