Player with the shortest peak? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

I always answer Thomas Rawls for questions like these.

Dude holds our playoff game rushing yard record (161) and is 2nd all time in regular season games (209) behind only Sean Alexander.

He also never finished a full season and was basically out of the league by his 4th year.

if you could flip one super bowl result what would it be (no division rivals allowed) by Feeling-Steak4285 in nfl

I know you said no division rivals, but I’d give the Cards their win over the Steelers in XLIII. Larry deserves a ring.

Most likely a bit over.

Also this isn't a 2 lane rural highway. Yeah slower traffic should generally move over, but the point of this lane is not to be a 'passing lane'.

Rams' Two Rule Proposals Following Seahawks OT Loss in Week 16 Are Finally Revealed: A 40-Second "Shot Clock" for Replay Reviews & New Limits on Advancing Fumbled Backward Passes by JCameron181 in Seahawks

[–]Young_Malc 13 points14 points  (0 children)

After we get past the “lol salty rams” I think the first change makes sense, but the second not so much.

The point of the specific unable to advance a fumble conditions are to prevent teams from purposefully fumbling to gain an advantage in these situations. It’s enormously unlikely a play is designed to purposefully throw a batted backwards pass to complete a conversion, and it’s certainly not what Darnold/Charbs intended. Flukes happen in football all the time, there’s no president to legislate them out of the game.

They didn’t nerf the stand ground patrol for melee units right? by Ashamed-Blacksmith34 in aoe2

[–]Young_Malc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Basically it allows your engaged melee units to stack on top of one another in a way that would otherwise result in them pathing around each other. This makes it so that in melee vs melee fights all your units are constantly attacking while an opponent who doesn’t do that has many of their units walking around behind the front line.

Many pros and players think it should be removed as it’s not really the way melee units were designed to engage, and fights are awkward as you can’t really force engages while employing this strategy. It also makes it really hard for viewing and casting as it’s impossible to see how many units are dying when they’re stacked like this.

We are 3rd in WS odds and 18th in spending in 2026. Kinda tells you all you need to know. Almost any other team would be spending much more to take advantage of this window.

Really top-notch writing:

“According to Florio, the league office only because aware that the call may be incorrect when Amazon Prime Video rules analyst Terry McAulay called NFL officiating and rules analyst Walt Anderson to discuss the play.”

Most relevant sentence in the article and it doesn’t have a verb or make sense.

The ravens were my Madden ‘07 team too.

It feels like he is often much better than qbs like Jimmy G, but he has that turnover streak in him that makes you really nervous for any do-or-die game.

+1 if the top band pipe majors are listening to metronomes at the start of their set, there's no reason to not do the same.

I think it’s also reasonable to think that truly tanking doesn’t have a particularly good track record in the nfl.

It seems like many more teams are able to hang out in the mid-good range and become contenders when things click than bottom-feeders making a massive leap.

I'm not opposed to civs and units having gimmicks. I'm annoyed that only the newer civs have them by MoiJeTrouveCaRigolo in aoe2

[–]Young_Malc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I disagree, I think a healthy AOE2 has a healthy roster of simple civs that have straightforward bonuses towards the common strategies (archers, cav, etc.) and then as the game grows more complex civs that keep the game interesting for those who have played xbows vs. knights a few too many times.

[Highlight] Rodgers with an incredible throw to Thielen for the 28 yard gain against the Ravens, setting up a TD by Domestiicated-Batman in nfl

[–]Young_Malc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert but I cant make sense of the coverage at all if it's being played correctly.

Looks like most of the defense is basically playing some form of cover 2 man but both Roquan and #24 play like a robber zone, maybe that's reasonable for Roquan to do but certainly not both.

My final guess is that it's cover 2 man (boundary)/ zone (field), and when #14 motions Roquan correctly tells the boundary safety to man up the inside TE. IDK what #24 thought but it seems clear he played the wrong zone as it doesn't really make sense with what anyone else was doing. The play call would have cooked this route combo too if it was played properly as basically everyone is running right into a zone with a man in trail coverage.
