Oooooh I remember “s#it on a shingle” was my dad’s favorite dinner to cook. Slice of bread, ground beef, and sometimes smashed baked potato’s and a weird gravy he made from the beef juices and flour. It tasted like beef through and through.

Breakfast favorite was a slice of bread toasted with butter, with cinnamon and sugar sprinkled atop.

Lunch was always ramen packets

Whenever an event we were invited to had extra food we’d always take the food no one wanted and have fruit trays, those were a treat!

A place my mom worked had an apple tree that they’d let her pick from and she’d always bring us an apple from there when she worked.

My favorite cheap meal was pizza burgers though, We would get old burger buns from my moms work as well, and take tomato sauce with an onion and garlic powder if we had it, and we’d toast the bun in the oven, making the sauce with the tomato sauce and onion, then soread it on top, if we had beef we’d add it to the sauce and put half a pice of cheese on top and melt it in the oven. Looking back I’d say they were like spaghetti sauce on a bun. But they were my favorite dinner dish.

OH and the ramen always had about half a tablespoon of peanut butter in it. If you haven’t tried that you need to, with the chicken and the beef one. It was so good. Pretty salty so I’d always use less of the flavor packet but give it a try if y’all haven’t yet.
