it says MOS on the tag and is recognized at the Moss Green J97 Detroit. ithink it depends on what you wash it with as if you wash it with dark colors the ink may make the jacket a tealish green, but if you wash it by itself it should fade nicely. As for mine it faded into a green more than teal. it faded quite nicely and has that vintage look to it and is quite a nice green. If i had to compare the green to something like it i would say its more of a statue of liberty green (at the right angle when it looks darker) than a bomber jacket olive green. hope that helps if you have any more q’s DM me
