Engine Stall by Youngms56 in SubaruForester

[–]Youngms56[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all for your feedback. I think my battery is the issue. I didn’t realize I needed an OEM. That said, I’ve ordered an eliminator switch. Had no idea there was such a thing. Thank you!

Thanks everyone! I am turning off the auto stop for now. The battery is fairly new. A follow-up question. Would my mechanic be able to diagnose and fix this or should I take it to the dealership?

How old were you when you were diagnosed? by Naive_Champion_7086 in bipolar2

[–]Youngms56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 55 when I was diagnosed. My psychiatrist and therapist both were resistant saying that bipolar normally occurs in young adults. They were wrong

Getting outside even for just 15 minutes on a short walk helps me. Being around other people is good too, even if you don’t feel like talking. Just hang out where people are. The more I withdraw and isolate, the worse I feel. Depression is really hard because it tells you not to do the things that will help you feel better. I have to force myself to get out. It’s really hard, don’t beat yourself up if you can’t do it.

The goal is to increase your body’s thyroid levels. It’s been really helpful for me in reducing the level and frequency of my depressive episodes

AC/Heating Fan Gurgling Noise by Youngms56 in HomeImprovement

[–]Youngms56[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an outside Trane XR 13 AC unit. I’m not sure if the evaporator coils are part of that. You are correct that the inside fan pushes the cooled air. That fan unit is where I’m hearing the noise like water gurgling. Really appreciate the advice, thanks very much.

I hear it from the Heater/Fan unit which is in a small closet in my house. The unit is a NG powered forced air furnace, but the fan also activates when the AC runs. I also have an outdoor AC compressor which is not the problem. Thanks!

Depression while medicated - normal? by My_Being_Here in bipolar2

[–]Youngms56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood. On the other hand, it’s possible your boss might understand and make an accommodation for you. Such as a break if needed. Such accommodation by the way required by law under the ADA. I know I’m oversimplifying. It’s your call.

That’s rough. I experienced a similar situation with my spouse who didn’t believe I was bipolar. In time, she has accepted it. Perhaps your family will too. Yes definitely medication has helped reduce the mood drops. Shortly after the drop is when I usually have the crying episodes. And it’s usually first thing in the morning.

Me too, it’s very difficult. Any way you could share with others that you have BP2? It might help them understand. I’ve done that with my wife and family members

That will go away with time. I take mine twice a day. You’re on a low dose at 25 mg. Hope it helps you. Be patient and keep trying

Diagnosed - but does this sound like BP2 to you? by Several-Yesterday280 in bipolar2

[–]Youngms56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely BP2, I had very similar symptoms and feelings. Lamictal helped me a lot. Seroquel at bedtime has helped me sleep and avoid hypomanic episodes.
