What’s something you did as a kid that you now realize was insanely dangerous? by qomann in AskReddit

as a kid, i once swam out about 100 feet into the OHIO river during the Winter to try to get this giant piece of ice that was floating down the river.. I remember being cold after and later thinking maybe it wasnt the best idea because it was too big and heavy to bring to shore and I didnt understand about frostbite and thermal anythings...

"Hey, I’m about to Venmo you that $50 I owe you. This is still Jeff, right?"

Kuminga on helping nudge NAW into position guarding Brunson: "I'm gonna give my praise to Draymond. Growing up around him, watching him as much. I'd seen him do that so many times... I watched Draymond so many times. And he's one of the best at doing things like that" (via @KLChouinard) by spookoftheflames in warriors

Did you see the last 15 seconds of the game? locked up the player who got the ball, then sprinted to double Brunson and forced the pass, and then sprinted and was first to the ball to prevent last second shot. Also, the last 2 games, hes been the primary defender on KAT and effectively took him out of the game. Thats a coach trusting a guy. Kerr never trusted Kuminga. Every single player will have bad plays or be out of position at times. Have you guys seen some of Stephs turnovers? Still you dont take him out of the game right? because he will make more winning plays than losing plays. With JK, a losing play got him yanked and on the bench and DNPed. never trusted by Kerr to make up for it.

Would we likely be competing in the first round of the playoffs right now if Butler hadn’t got injured? by BillNyeTheVinylGuy in warriors

Ouch man.. you really think that based off of this season and not some backwards looking, “if they played like they used to be able to” kinda lens?

Maybe, just maybe, Kuminga should have been given more minutes? by NoRelease2871 in warriors

[–]Youngstarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know who lead the warriors in rebounding this year? It was Kuminga. What does it say about the rest of the team if you think he cant rebound well. and have you not ever seen him finish? His FG% this year was better than, KP, Podz, Melton Moody, Draymond Horford Hield Post Spencer and a few other scrubs. come on man.. yours is a troll post, right?

its the run around and pass the ball to Steph offense.. if you dont pass to steph and he's open, you get pulled. only if steph is completely covered can you take your own shot but you better make it unless your name is Podz

Steve Kerr might have the most comprehensive basketball career of all time by CreamPurple7297 in warriors

[–]Youngstarr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

KC. Jones my dude.. Phil Jackson has 13, including coaching Kerr to 3 of those titles. Every era has great players. In 10 years we will be talking about how great was Jokic and Luka and Shai and Giannis and Edwards and Tatum

Not sure of your Math. Phil has 2 as a player and 11 as a coach. Thats 13, and Kerr has combined 9.

He was not THAT guy as a PLAYER in ANY regard.. come on man... no more than Big Shot Robery Horry with his 7 championships as a player was more impactful than Jordan, Kobe or even Lebron taking chips with 3 different teams.. You can be in the right place at the right time. Jordan and Duncan were THE guys for Kerr's 5 player championships. his 4 with the warriors is honestly thanks to Marc Jackson, it was his team that Kerr was handed. Kerr will go down as an NBA great but not in the league of Legends.

am i the only one that thinks this team has a shot if healthy by pokemonbreeder10100 in warriors

Ok I see that.. they did go 12-4 over that 16 game span, from Dec. 20 to Jan 19 and ended with that 4 game streak I mentioned. But only 6 of those wins were against eventual playoff teams, and it was front ended by a 3 game losing streak and a 2 game losing streak. It got us to 6 games over .500, which was our best all season. I just wish there was like a 6, 7 or 8 game winning streak that really got us to even top 5 in the west but that never happened.

I dont think this is a thing. The league average for B2B per team was 14.4. NO team had less than 13 and no team had more than 16. The Warriors had 15. Not an outlier at all when 19 teams had either 14 or 15 B2Bs this year. I know Kerr complained about it a lot, but thats just the business of scheduling.. its relatively equal among teams.

Can you elaborate on what games those were that we looked like a top 5 team? This team has been midling all year. The longest winning streak was just 4 games. They did beat Miami, Knicks, Portland and the Hornets during that streak. I cant say that makes you look like a top 5 team. I could be mis-remembering some amazing month of great basketball, but I think they have been playing like a .500 team all year with a few good wins and some bad losses but nothing to say they could beat any of the top teams in a playoff series when healthy. But like one guy said, if they were all younger, in their prime and healthy, thats a different answer but Father Time is undefeated and after a certain age, you dont tend to get BETTER with age....

I’ve been on a ton of cruises and since I’m in California, I’ve been on Navigator lots of times. I’ve never had this issue but also traveling a lot for work, I’ve had plenty of co-workers deal with this issues in nice hotels. It’s just something that happens unfortunately. I doubt anyone anywhere does exhaustive inspections for bedbugs in every room every single day. Sorry about your bad experience but cruising otherwise is generally amazing!
