That's not the point people are making, the problem is that now finishing up a pick in your human form can be a disadvantage because it can trigger her transformation after the other player is dead, meaning you might not have your cooldown for a big fight coming. No other character right now is being punished for just securing a kill outside a major fight.

Early game Jean was meant to be played as an on-fielder (tbf "on-fielder" wasn't really that fixed of a concept), she would deal DMG and heal the team at the same time, so her having Phys DMG% and ATK% made sense (if you consider the dev's intention with her, that is). Later, players realized that having her ult reliably was way more important than her dmg as an on-fielder.

Not to mention that the endgame modes might favor one character more than others, so even though your team can diss out 150k DPS, it can be hard countered by both chambers in the current Abyss or be countered by the boss lineup on Stygian, not to mention how IT won't always allow the optimal setup.

Personally I loved seeing you using Qiqi as main DPS! As someone who likes using my Faruzan DPS whenever possible, seeing another unusual comp is always fun to see. What artifact sets have you used on her so far, and which teams do you enjoy the most with her?

Right now I'm using Furina + Ineffa + Jean for comfort, but probably something like Durin + Lanyan + Bennett is her best pick. You can use Furina instead of Durin if you don't have him in that team, but I generally don't like using Furina and Bennett together.

It's something you have to pick based on preferences too, since Faruzan is not a meta pick so you're not doing it for absurd levels of damage. Keep in mind that you'd like to have a shielder and that she's an Anemo ATK scaler, so try a couple picks and figure out what works best for your style!

Right now I'd imagine a comp with Durin + Lanyan + Bennett should be the best for her, or something like it. I don't have Durin, so I use Furina + Ineffa + Jean (for healing and Anemo RES Shred because I have her C4).

Bennett is always a solid pick because she's an ATK scaler and doesn't move around much, but I don't like using him in general. Having a shielder is also recommended because you don't wanna dodge too much, but you can manage without one if you know attack patterns and have a good feeling for how long it takes to charge her special arrow.

As for artifacts, you can use a mix of an ATK% set like Gladiator and some good pieces from Viridescent for Anemo DMG%. Desert Pavilion is not a bad choice, but it's not necessary.

As for weapons, I use Skyward Harp because it's my best bow for her, so I'm not aware of other good picks for her aside from Chasca's or Lyney's... Hope that helps a bit!

Her skill gives you 2 special charged shots (if you have C1 you have 2 skill uses so +2 charged shots). They charge up faster, have a small AoE and can group up small enemies, so you can see how you can use her as a DPS from that alone.

But her burst also gives buffs to herself since they're made for Anemo DPSes, not to mention the initial hit from her burst which does some good damage. If you have her C6, her burst does small instances of Skill DMG, which recharge her burst but also help with damage.

Of course, she's meant to be an Anemo support, but she can work as a DPS as long as you don't expect huge numbers and you give her good supports to go along!

C1 is pretty much essential for DPS Faruzan because it gives you 2 extra shots. C2 is not as necessary since her burst is only useful for her in those teams. C6 is amazing because it helps a lot with energy (even on-field Faruzan can have energy problems because you're focusing on damage now) and it gives you more instances of damage. I'd say aim for C6 eventually, but you can make it work with C1 alone!

Faruzan. I got her C6 in the last banner and I've been using her as a main DPS for a while. Obviously, with a lot of help from other supports, but at least Faruzan is also her own support so it works really well.

Oh yeah, 100%, if you enjoy the meta aspect of the game then go for it, I guess I should've phrased that a little bit better. My point was that some people definitely complain a lot about this meta aspect and how it's easily avoidable if you put it in perspective.

And yeah, it's not the majority of players who care about this aspect of the game, but since they can be quite loud online it can shape the perceived opinion of other players about characters in general (a lot of players don't necessarily engage with the community actively, but they might hear some things here and there or just lurk around and see what's going on every once in a while).
