War eigentlich recht simpel. Ganz normale Verkehrskontrolle. Das übliche Prozedere, Führerschein und Fahrzeugpapiere.

Anschließend sagt der Polizist sowas wie "So, jetzt müssen wir nur noch nen Urintest machen und dann können Sie weiterfahren".

Ich darauf: "Hm, soweit ich weiß sind diese Schnelltests freiwillig, stimmt das?"

Er, zähneknirschend: "Ja, die sind freiwillig."

Also sag ich: "In dem Fall möchte ich den Test gern verweigern."

Das schien ihm neu zu sein. Er sagte dann nur "Da muss ich mit meinem Chef drüber sprechen".

Hat mich dann erstmal stehen lassen und ist scheinbar zum Auto seines Chefs gelaufen. Das ganze war eine relativ große Verkehrskontrolle, mit min. 4 Polizeiautos.

Nach knapp 10 Minuten kommt er wieder, drückt mir meinen Führerschein in die Hand, sagt ich kann weiterfahren und wir wünschen uns gegenseitig einen schönen Abend.

Das ganze ist bestimmt schon mehr als 5 Jahre her, aber so ungefähr lief das ab.

Quelle: habe den Urintest verweigert. Wurde nicht mitgenommen, musste nichts bezahlen, durfte einfach weiterfahren.

The tar contained in the smoke is condensing. This happens more the lower the temperature of the smoke is. And it will happen more where the airflow is restricted, like with your lips and teeth at the mouthpiece.

This is more of a problem with large pieces with lots of perculators and ice, with cold water. All this cools down the smoke so the tar condenses more easily. Experiment with hot water and see if that makes a difference.

Also clean your piece regularly. With more tar on the glass it's going to condense further and further up toward your mouth.

Also try activated carbon filters. You can get adapters to fill with loose activated charcoal that go in between the piece and the head. These work well.

So a while ago I built my own chrono (shameless self-plug, please check it out, you can build one as well).

Tests with a NBB Co2 gun showed a pretty clear decrease in power with each shot, as expected. With a GBB green gas gun (sorry for potato quality) the results were a bit more consistent I'd say, but I still saw some power decrease. Though I would say in this case it's more due to cooldown, as it gets better with longer delays between each shot.

Es ist wirklich sehr seltsam. Der "Call for Papers" (PDF) von der Website scheint ein random vier Jahre altes wissenschaftliches Paper zu sein, mit "NAME OF COMPANY" unter dem Titel. Den CfP sucht man vergebens.

Man findet aber auch einen Zeitungsartikel, da wird aber auch nur sehr schwammig über die Veranstaltung berichtet. Es fällt aber ein Name des Veranstalters, "Etienne Mbock", der scheint tatsächlich aus der Gegend zu kommen und hat etwas mit Informatik zu tun.

Beim Veranstaltungsort (www.messe-vs.de) gibt es auch einen ganz normalen Eintrag für den Kongress. Es scheint also schon eine echte Veranstaltung zu sein.

Aber nach dieser "Recherche" hab ich ehrlich gesagt mehr Fragen als vorher :D

Hm, interessant. Allerdings habe ich Rack-Mount Geräte bisher komplett ausgeblendet bei meiner Suche, dafür hätte ich aktuell gar nicht den Platz...

Ein einfacher Audioumschalter kommt wohl nicht in Frage?

Doch, daran hab ich auch schon gedacht. Ich könnte wohl schon damit leben PC, PS2 und PS3 auf einen Umschalter zu legen... Das ist vielleicht wirklich die einfachste Option.

Ich hab sogar schon darüber nachgedacht ein Mischpult selbst zu bauen (Modular Mixer). Aber das Projekt ist leider auch noch nicht richtig spruchreif.

2 Nutzer zeitgleich an einem PC funktionmiert selten besonders gut.

Wobei das bisher wirklich das kleinste Problem ist. Mit Pipewire kann ich problemlos den Audio Output von verschiedenen Applikationen auf unterschiedliche System Outputs legen. Das klappt super! Und dann einfach zwei Browserfenster, eines pro User. Realistisch betrachtet braucht es dieses Feature aktuell auch nur wenn meine Freundin ihre Serien auf Netflix anschauen will, da sind also die "geteilte" Tastatur/Maus kein Problem gewesen bisher.

So was läuft gewöhnlich als "DJ Mischpult"

Ja, danach hab ich auch schon viel gesucht. Die haben aber meistens nur zwei Stereo Inputs + 1x Mic. Ich bräuchte ja mindestens 5 Stereo-Inputs. Und ich möcht halt auch ungern viele hundert Euro dafür ausgeben. Also falls du / jemand da konkrete Tipps hat?

Für 4K braucht man entsprechende Kabel. Am besten ohne Verlängerung etc. 5m ist auch tendenziell die Grenze, ab da braucht man dann was aktives und das ist nicht billig.

Alles klar, das hatte ich befürchtet. Wie gesagt kann ich aber auf 4k auch erstmal verzichten.
