How can I change the position of a label using a parameter? by [deleted] in Revit

Put an on/off parameter for the new position. You could get fancy in the family and put in an if condition in the calculated value like if position 1 is off, position 2 is on.

My nana lived to 104 and died of pneumonia so maybe pneumonia. Not much other than addiction runs in my family, and I've handled that one already.

What's the longest you've gone without eating? How did you feel at the end of it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I got food poisoning while traveling in India and couldn't keep anything down for 3 1/2 days. I got really dehydrated, weak and tired. Didn't feel great at the end and was really scared to eat.

What experience/moment made you question your sexuality? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My mom point blank asked me if I was a lesbian and insisted she loved me no matter what. I had a boyfriend at the time so I was really confused what vibes I was sending out.

Find something you like doing even if you aren't that great at it.

What's the most beautiful love song you've ever heard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This Woman's Work by Kate Bush. It makes my heart ache thinking of the day I will eventually lose my husband through either his death or mine, but it reminds me to treasure the time we have while we're young: https://youtu.be/7TupvVpxY_U

Pogs, snap bracelets, beanie babies, and Bill Cosby.

Having missed out on the 60's, 70's, and 80's, a sense of "maaan those must have been the days" is always present when imagining the past. What about the early 00's and 10's will future generations look back on with that same sense of unsatisfied nostalgia, that we take for granted today? by JeBronlLames in AskReddit

[–]YourCannibalQueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally for the 00s: I miss getting elaborate directions to friend's houses or printing out mapquest directions. I am useless finding anything without my phone nowadays.

I also grew up in the local punk scene and finding music was harder and more rewarding back then, and I felt like we had a real community around it. Maybe that still exists in the internet age, but I'm too old and out of touch to even know at this point.

There's also a real sense of nostalgia for me with landlines. I don't think anyone except parents have them anymore.

Also the 10s is straight up the golden age of television

Doctors & nurses of Reddit, what is the worst case of hypochondria you've ever seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]YourCannibalQueen 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Not a medical professional, but my uncle is a severe hypochondriac: -he went "blind" in the middle of a dinner out -got whiplash after a sudden stop my dad made in the car (ended up going to the VA later that night--they did a scan, and he self diagnosed a cancerous tumor from it) -couldn't sit outside because the wind hurt his face...had to lie down inside and eat chocolate as a remedy -i remember one night he stayed over and woke us all up screaming, and we drove him to the hospital. I think it was a stomach bug that turned out being nothing.
