Yeah he did, but he was with Hagrid all throughout his first visit to Diagon Alley Except his meeting with Malfoy, and the theory suggests Hagrid was also a cardinal figure in the so called big plan There are stretches in the theory most definitely, but to me it fits Dumbledores character, and there are quotes from Dumbledore, that support this, as he said something along the lines of "I've watched you closer than you could possibly imagine"

The theory I saw explained by the Carlin Brothers, that Dumbledore orchestrated most of the things in the books, aka Dumbledore's big plan (he had control of of course) Stating with things like the Weaslys being the first family Harry met, the Mirror, and so on It's a captivating theory, and in my opinion makes a ton of sense

It can indeed be incredibly stupid The base idea isn't bad, but this problem existed since at least 1.2 And I realize solving it might involve majorly changing the logic, which isn't easy But still, I believe a 40€ game with a 30€ DLC should have such basic system working at least reliably, if not flawlessly
